We were looking for a retreat from our busy lives and we found it at the 1810 House. All of the interior rooms were top notch - tastefully decorated with period pieces, many of which had an interesting story behind them. The bedrooms were large and well furnished. Connie and Wally are wonderful hosts, with an authentic interest in their guests. Breakfast each day was a treat, as others have mentioned.

The best compliment is that there are many accommodation options in the Wolfeboro area, but we will only be returning to the 1810 House.

Room Tip: The two rooms on the second room require accending a narrow stairwell.

The 1810 House Bed and Breakfast was completely remodeled last year by the new owners and they’ve created a perfect blending of the 19th and 21st centuries. We stayed in the Lake Wentworth room on the first floor. The four poster bed (built by the owner), antique chairs, period paintings and prints, gas stove and large Jacuzzi made for a very comfortable stay. Evenings sitting on the back porch listening to the brook was a very enjoyable part of our vacation. Breakfasts were homemade and delicious. The O’Briens do everything possible to make sure their guests have a wonderful experience in this beautifully appointed 200 year old home.

Room Tip: We were allowed to tour the entire B&B and we would be happy to stay in any of the rooms. Each h...

Everything about this B and B was superb. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The whole house is beautifully done and the common room is very comfortable. The room was extra large and very comfortable. The breakfast was ample and very well prepared. The blueberry pancakes were the best we have ever had, but the eggs were also great. Our first time in the area visiting our twin grand daughters and we anticipate we will be back every summer, staying at 1810.

Just spent a great weekend at this inn. Connie and Wally offered outstanding service and attention. The room was immaculate and we'll put together. Most importantly was the good quality mattress. Thanks. Janet and John

Room Tip: We were in the Crescent Lake room and it was a large room.

My family and I have visited Wolfeboro, NH several times. We have previously stayed at Wolfeboro Inn and the Inn on Main, both of which are decent, but 1810 House vastly surpasses these! Here's a list of my priorities when choosing accommodations and how 1810 House ranks:

1) Cleanliness: this is more important to me than anything else! 1810 House is by far one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed (including 5 star hotels / resorts). It is absolutely impeccable! I feel completely at home using the bathroom and sleeping on the sheets.

2) Comfort: the memory foam mattress (which feels firm yet plush at the surface) makes 1810 House THE MOST comfortable sleep I've ever had at a hotel / bed & breakfast. We stayed in the Lake Winnipesaukee Room, which has a little, somewhat separated area with a daybed that was perfect for setting up a travel crib for our one year old daughter. And the homey common area is perfect for lounging, reading, or working on the laptop. (WiFi is provided.)

3) Food: the breakfast is DELICIOUS!!! We got fresh fruit with yogurt or rice pudding, scrambled eggs (quite possibly the best I've ever had...got the recipe) with home fries, and pancakes (also got the recipe:) or french toast, all of which were excellent. The portions are very filling and during our stay we ended up only eating breakfast and dinner! Fresh baked goodies and coffee / tea are also available in the common area around the clock.

4) Customer Service: the owners, Connie and Wally, are beautiful, gracious hosts who truly enjoy caring for their guests. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Just one of many examples is when they heard that we try to feed our daughter organic food, they bought organic eggs, yogurt, and apple sauce for her!

5) Aura: 1810 House is a quaint bed & breakfast that, as the name suggests, was built in 1810. (The portion in which the owners live was built around 1760.) Original exposed beams, authentic antique furniture, and an abundance of fireplaces give this bed & breakfast a lovely charm, while spacious updated bathrooms provide the amenities one looks forward to while on vacation, including a large hot tub! The antique store located next door in an old dairy barn is wonderful to browse through; the beach and scenic hiking trails are within walking distance; and downtown shopping and dining are a short drive away.

Our stay at 1810 House was incredibly relaxing, delightful, and just magical! We look forward to visiting again many times in the future!

What a delicious breakfast and lovely accommodations. The owners can't do enough to make their guests comfortable.
Don't forget to check out the antiques barn even if you are just passing through. You never know what treasures you will find.
