“Thoroughly enjoyed stay at well-maintained Cottages of Wolfeboro.”

Cleanest cottages we've ever rented. Well-appointed and cute decor. Plenty to do in the area. Something for everyone - we were an extended family ranging in age from 10 - 85. We got two cottages side by side. Dave, the owner was most helpful. He gave us tips and oriented us to the area. Free bikes and kayaks were a treat. We especially enjoyed the walking path into town and local beaches. Often gathered around the fire in the evenings.Beautiful area and convenient location. We hope to return and might rent the big house next time if we can get a larger group to join us. Thanks, Dave for a special week!

“Amazing place, great location and friendly people!”
Reviewed 7 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We came here with a bunch of friends for 4th of July weekend, and it could not have been more perfect! Dave and the rest of the staff were so gracious and helpful. The house was beautiful and spacious (we stayed in the Main House). We really enjoyed the patio and grill in the front. And it was a short walk to the supermarket, the town of Wolfeboro and the beach/lake! Thanks so much for a great weekend! We would love to come back!

“Wonderful cottage compound for family gathering”
Reviewed 6 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Our family stayed in the Caretaker's House for a family wedding. So wonderful to be together in one location along with relatives and friends in the cottage compound. Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed the weekend. Would love to have had more time to take advantage of the kayaks and bicycles provided. Easy walk to town.

“Cottages of NH was absolutely perfect for our large family (42+) vacation!”
Reviewed 2 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

My family of 42+ stayed at Cottages of NH for a week. It was perfect...the large main house held many members plus the 12 cottages held the others. We had a bonfire under the stars almost every night..we kayaked, explored, shopped and went to the beach. We had great weather and family cookouts. I would highly recommend this place for large families. The cottage came with everything you would need! I can tell by the 460 photos I took that everyone had a great time and made some great memories. Thanks to David,Wendy, Jody, Mick and all who we met during our stay! It was a great vacation!

Liked best: the comfortable bed and pillows!
Liked least: quiet hours started at 10 and with a big family under the stars at the bonfire, that was tough but Jody was awesome and simply would just politely ask us to lower our laughter level!!

Hi Diane, Thank you so much for your review... we loved seeing you bond with your special family... building connections with the "neighborhood" you set up while visiting each other’s "homes", I know you enjoyed walking to various activities around town, to the waterfalls, the lakes, beaches or events, shops, and restaurants around town and on the Harborfront. people visiting on our bench swings, lounging in hammocks or gathering in the Adirondacks around the campfires. I hope we can have you again...

Thanks for coming to stay with us Kathy... Now that you've seen us, maybe you would want to consider coming with a larger group... Everyone tells us that this is the perfect setting for special family and friend groups because we are uniquely designed to build connections. This allows us to accomplish community in a very different way than hotels you might consider… they all comment on the fact that people can be together but not be on top of one another. They create an intimate "neighborhood" while visiting each other’s "homes", taking walks to various activities around town, to the waterfalls, the lakes, beaches or events, shops, restaurants and pubs around town and on the Harbor front. Sitting in one of our bench swings, lounging in hammocks or gathering in the Adirondacks by an evening fire are great community and relationship builders.

Thanks again, Dave 603-569-9999

“Peace and quiet”
Reviewed 23 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

My first reaction was that the places were very small. But when I saw how extremely clean they were, that impressed me. The bed was so comfortable - I wanted to take it home with me! And the soft, clean comforter - we slept like logs. The bikes and kayaks available for use were great - we used both. And the town is so walkable - restaurants, sight seeing, grocery stores and laundromat, all within a few minutes. Nice walking or biking trail that goes for miles, accessible a couple minutes away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

“Ideal for extended family or larger group”
Reviewed 10 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Enjoyed a week-long family reunion vacation in August at The Cottages at Wolfeboro. I can’t thank David enough for the fantastic time we all had here! There were 5 families staying on the property, totaling 26 people, as well as several family members who visited for the day. We had room to spread out and enjoy each others’ company. The cottages are arranged so that we had areas for eating as a group, card games, younger kids, etc. There are 2 fire pit areas with ample seating.

While not waterfront, the location is ideal with a grocery store, laundromat, playground, tennis just a few hundred yards away, and downtown Wolfeboro with lots of shops and restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. The older kids were able to easily and safely access the bike trail while the younger children hung out at the cottages or at the playground.

We were a large crowd but David made us all feel welcome and comfortable (even when we messed up the recycling and he ended up sorting all our trash the first day. Sorry, David!) The town of Wolfeboro is absolutely beautiful and it was so nice to be able to walk to town and leave our cars behind. Some of our group made a daytrip up to North Conway (about an hour north) to raft down the Saco River while some of the boys grabbed their fishing poles and the complimentary kayaks and spent the afternoon fishing on Back Bay. The cottages are all well done, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The cleaning crew also did an amazing job preparing the cottages before our arrival – they were spotless. I highly recommend this location, especially for anyone planning a family reunion such as ours. Thank you, again, David, for your wonderful hospitality. Not sure when we can get everyone together again, but when we do, we will definitely be back!

Liked best: David renovated the 1940's era cottages and did a fantastic job. They're pristine with great period details. For an extended family like ours, the layout is ideal.
Liked least: The cottages are authentic 1940's era, so there are compromises - but they're worth it! The kitchen and bathrooms are small. The 10 PM
