Stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn late August. The Inn was warm, elegant and so romantic. Staff greeted us with a friendly welcome and helped direct us to various area attractions that we inquired on. Rooms were very clean and elegant..just beautiful. After an incredible dinner at the Tavern we found our way down to the dock and watched the sunset over the lake. It was a chilly night and a member of the staff came out to us in the court yard with a blanket and offered to light a fire for us. We ended our night by a cozy fire, with a glass of wine enjoying every bit of the Wolfeboro Inns warm hospitality. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We are repeat guests at the Wolfeboro Inn and have visited every January for the last four years. Every visit has been exceptional! The facility is well-maintained and cozy, even though it is frequently used for business meetings. The rooms are nicely appointed, and our room always has a view of the ice-covered lake! The staff, to a person, at reception, in the dining room, in the tavern and in maintenance are all incredibly helpful and friendly. A delightful place to stay in picturesque New Hampshire!

My significant other and I stayed at the Wolfeboro Inn in late October, 2013. We had a nice room with a view of the lake (not all rooms do as the late is a few hundred feet away, so be sure to ask if this important to you). The room was nicely decorated and appointed but there were a few minor practical things (at least for the 2nd floor room we had) that were not perfect . The balcony was shared with the room next door and there was no towel bar near the sink so one had to improvise with hanging the towel on the light fixture. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant. The food was quite good (we had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast there). The bar which is part of the restaurant gets quite a good crowd so it is active and fun. They have a strong local following as they have a beer punch card. They carry 100 different types of beer and punch a card for each different one you try. When you've tried all 100 they give you your own pewter mug which they number and hang on the ceiling for use in all future forays. I think it also gets you some kind of special beer discount but am not sure on that. The point is the bar is active and friendly with a nice atmosphere and a nice bartender.

The lake itself is quite beautiful and we had fun hiking a few miles from the Inn. There is lots of hiking in the area of all different difficulty levels. The town is cute too but I understand may get crowded in the summer months. (I was told population goes from 5,000 to 20,000 "in season".) Also the town has a number of little restaurant so there is some variety for a getaway.
