“Interesting Shops”

A few interesting shops to wander through. Antiques, seaside gifts, jewelry, clothing to name a few. Fun place to visit when you are at the north end of LBI.

“Quaint but nothing too unique or exciting”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

Viking village is a good place to kill a half hour but certainly not a place to plan on spending a whole day. Would benefit from a few more shops/things to do.

“Would Have been Appreciated by the Vikings”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Viking Village is for boys and girls of all ages, from one to 101. There are lots of little shops selling anything you can imagine, with lots of unique, fun objects and handmade things right from Viking Village. You can't leave without something that you can take home to remind you of your visit. Also a good ice cream spot. And there is a ship in the Village where you can get all sorts of Jersey Fresh Produce, breads, cheeses and snack items. If you're not from New Jersey, you have to taste the best tomatoes ever, plus local corn, blueberries and cranberries. And while you're there, don't forget go to one of the fresh fish stores. Besides the freshest fish possible, try the chowders, especially the unique and delicious scallop bisque. And you can also go see all of the boats that bring all types of fish right to Viking Village.

“Historic Value”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

The small (one time bait shacks) along Viking Village are filled with treasures - the tour of the fishing village and also the scenic tours along the coast by the local boats are something to put on the visitor list.

“Worth Seeing!”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 via mobile

We always stop by the Village when we are in town mainly for Off the Hook restaurant! There are some cute little shops worth exploring, especially if you need some gifts. You feel like your in Maine with the atmosphere. Very rustic and charming!
