“Solid local diner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2013

I stopped here for breakfast. This is a good solid local diner. If you are looking for gourmet food, you will not find it here. What you will find is good, quality, comfort food, served fast with good service. If you are in the are, this is worth a stop.

“Local Diner - and satisfying food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2013

Well, I was raised in a diner with a greek mom, and so I am a bit fussy about my diners. This is not my number one.. But the soup is good, corn muffins and tayor ham readily available.. Great coffee and breakfast. Enjoy - affordable, good service, nice people.

“Small Town Diner!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2012

While this is a typical Jersey Diner in some respects (menu, bad parking), it must be said that it brings home the small town feel. If you are looking for a burger, omelette, salad, pie, etc. where the servers know your name, look no further! They will help you out when you can't decide and ask how your family is. There's a pie case and a counter; the typical multiple-renovations interior spares nothing when it comes to atmosphere.
The early closing time is frustrating, but the rest of Blairstown proper is shutting down about the same time as the diner, so fretting and griping will get you nowhere.
At the end of the day, the diner is fantastic for breakfast, brunch, or even an early dinner. Go in, say hello, and be nice, just like your mama told you to!
Oh, and they get a fair share of boarding-schoolers on the weekends, so get in early before the teenagers wake up!

“Authentic and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2012

The waitresses have a kind word, the soup and a burger is classic simple diner type and nothing tastes processed. It is cheap and serves a working local crowd. What's not to like? I go out of my way to stop here after a long ride on the Harley.

By the way this is the diner where they shot the horror movie Friday the 13th. And Blairstown is the town featured in the movie. Can't believe nobody said anything about THAT.

I would advise against hitchhiking to the diner for obvious reasons...
