“Could use room update”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

The room was clean. Slight (!) residual smell of cigarette smoke in bathroom, not bothersome. Carpet worn, lamp over sink out of order. Breakfast was fine, but that's assuming you're not looking for made-to-order breakfast with a waiter. We came a little late to breakfast, so the cheese "omelette" (you know, those taco shaped things that are the consistency of sponge with some american cheese inside) was a bit overcooked. Overall, it satisfied, but I wouldn't be raving about this place. I'll look elsewhere next time.

The staff is always amenable, amiable, and professional—from management to housekeeping—a true mark of an exceptional establishment. The rooms are always clean, quiet, and comfortable, which is everything that every hotel should, but does not always exude.

Everyone was very friendly. Rooms were very clean. Amenities were good. Continental breakfast was good. Great hotel for the price. Only negative was the mattresses were too soft. Next to Wa-Wa which was very convenient if you needed anything.

We made a reservation here for two nights for a Six Flags trip ( about 20 minutes away). First of all, let me say that Stefanie, who was behind the desk (and is apparently, from what I have read in this site, the assistant manager) could not have been nicer. My daughter and I couldn't locate this hotel, and we were riding up and down Route 206 in the dark looking for it. Stefanie stayed on the phone with us and got us there safely. She also directed us to local, stores and restaurants. She could not have been more patient or more helpful. What follows is not her fault. We've stayed in Best Westerns for years all over the country, which is one reason we picked this hotel. The Best Western name generally means an attractive, comfortable hotel. This hotel is small, plain, and dated. The rooms are very basic. They certainly need updating and more warmth. The tub was chipped. There was not an extra blanket in the room. It was so plain and sparse that it was as if someone had decided what the bare minimum amount of furniture, blankets, pictures, etc., should be. It was not an inviting room. There was a small pool in the lobby, but when we asked about the hot tub, we learned that there was a whirlpool, but it wasn't hot. It was the same temperature as the pool. My daughter is gluten intolerant, but Stefanie told us that the free breakfast included eggs, fruit, and yogurt. I didn't think anyone could ruin hard boiled eggs, but they were awful! The apples ( that was the fruit) were bruised. ( There was sufficient breakfast food variety for those who could eat gluten.) This hotel doesn't resemble any Best Western I've ever stayed in. Stefanie deserves better!

Stayed here for a Six Flags trip - booked a blind deal via Hotwire and got a decent rate. Front desk person was friendly and attentive. Rooms are dated - had to flick the lights 3 - 4 times before they came on and the shower did this strange pulsating thing (not by design, I don't think). Was happy to have refrigerator in the room and size of room was good. It's nice that the hotel allows dogs…but not as nice when you have a barking beagle in the adjacent room (and the walls are thin). Overall, I got what I paid for, but would rather spend a bit more to stay elsewhere next time.

The exterior of the hotel is clean and parking lot freshly paved. The front desk staff was professional and friendly. The room carpet felt wet, damp, room smelled musty. The furniture is outdated and needs to be upgraded.

We stayed here just overnight as we were doing the Six Flags park. The gentleman at check in was so nice and friendly. the kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The hotel was quiet and clean. We got a good night sleep and only had a 20 minute ride to Six Flags the next morning. We would definitely stay here again.
