My husband and I were married here because the moment we walked in the door it felt like the perfect place. It is charming and welcoming in its casual elegance and simplicity.

We loved the combination of past and future in the Inn. The original home and its deep history is enhanced with modern technology. We liked the thought of celebrating our marriage in a place which reflects our love of both of these things. Surrounded by and taking care of the beautiful environment we cherish.

All of our guests loved everything about our wedding and reception, from atmoshpere to services. Our overnight stay was completely relaxing with everything we needed to just kick back and recover from our big day.

As for breakfast, words cannot adequately describe how delightful it was.

The best part of the Raritan Inn was the service and care given by Margy the Innkeeper. She was helpful at all times and just lovely to deal with. She made her Inn feel like ours for the short time we were there.

Even though it isn't far from our home, we look forward to staying here again to escape from out hectic lives. R & R just minutes from home!

Thanks for everything!

My wife and I were married at the Raritan Inn and loved everything about the Inn. Margie, the Innkeeper, was a blessing as she helped us with every step of the wedding ceremony and reception. She was kind and attentive to all of needs and goofy (annoying) requests. Margie showed patience and an understanding that went above and beyond our wildest expectations. Beyond Margie, the Inn was welcoming and inviting and clean. The breakfast was great. I really can't say enough good things about our wedding and stay at the Raritan Inn.

My wife and I got married at the Raritan Inn and it exceeded our expectations.

Our family booked the Inn for the weekend and staying there provided the perfect place for our family to bond and for me and my wife to prepare the weekend. The staff made us feel at home. The inn has the beauty and history of a museum, but we also felt perfectly comfortable relaxing in many of its rooms. We had three young kids with us who loved exploring the inn, especially the game room downstairs. The staff was amazingly friendly - we felt like they were part of the family by the end of the weekend. They truly made us feel like the inn was ours during our stay, not that we simply guests. There was cofee, snacks, etc. at our disposal at all times. And the breakfast we had was of the quality of a 5-star restuarant.

The rooms are great. The inn is full of old charm, but the amenities are completely modern, and they manage to blend the two seemlessly. We were also extremely impressed by the inclusion of solar energy and geo-thermal heating/cooling.

As a wedding venue, the inn met all our needs. We used the area in front of the river for our ceremony. It was the perfect backdrop. It wasn't even buggy-in early August. It was an easy walk from parking for our guests. We used the barn for our cocktail hour. We only hung a few decorations because the barn offered the perfect farm-feel as it was. We erected a tent in the clearing behind the barn for the reception. Surrounded by the barn, the creek, and the field - it was perfect setting. An unexpected plus, there was a horeshoe pitch next to the tent and our guests really enjoyed playing.

During the whole planning of our wedding, The innkeeper was extremely generous with her time. We made several trips to the inn to and she let us have access to the grounds everytime. On a few occasions we met with vendors at the inn. She was easy to communicate with when we had questions and helped suggest vendors we could use.

The Raritan Inn was the perfect site for our wedding. I strongly reccomend using it for a wedding or staying there. The inn is wonderful, the area is beautiful, and the staff is extremely friendly and gracious.

My co-worker and I signed up for the 1st of a 6 course educational class for our Certified Green Professional and Certified Graduate Associate designation and since class was from 3-10 pm, we stayed overnight at the Inn. We have been up here before but to stay overnight and experience history meeting technology was very cool. Marjory, the Innkeeper was an excellent host, very gracious and always looking out for our needs by making sure we didn't lack for anything. Her homemade breakfast and baked treats were a plus! We even got a goodybag to take with us! I have never stayed at an Inn before and will make sure I stay again when I'm in the area to take my next class!

Our Inn hosts National Association of Home Builder classes through out the year.

It is a pleasure to host folks from all over the East Coast and all different building and design backgrounds.

We also have the privilege to provide a bit of rest and relaxation for those who stay with us in the evening after the class.

So green. So great, on so many levels. I grew up in Middle Valley, just down the road from where the Raritan Inn sits. My siblings and I booked a weekend stay to reacquaint ourselves with our old stomping grounds. Our expectations were exceeded on all levels--from the door-to-door greetings and personal note welcoming each of us. The breakfast was amazing, not to mention the full tour of the property and its history served as the icing on top of a very bittersweet weekend. Mostly sweet! We're already planning our next visit, perhaps next time we'll put "relaxing" on the agenda. Did I mention that there's just so much to do and see? Biking, hiking, horseback riding, fruit picking, historic tours and renovated bits and pieces of history are all bashfully sitting beyond every quiet little corner. You should go...the experience will stay with you for a long while.

What a joy to have folks who grew up in this area come back and experience a "bit of home!"

It is so much fun to hear of their childhood memories and "exploits" throughout the local countryside and even here at the Inn!

There are, indeed, so many things to do - hiking, biking, antiquing, horse drawn wagon rides, apple picking and and so much more.

It is a privilege to host our corporate travelers. We do our best to accommodate their hectic pace with arrival and breakfast scheduling as well as providing a quiet retreat to work or unwind after a busy day. We truly are a bit of "home away from home" for our corporate guests.
