We love The Sea Crest!! We've stayed there many times over the past nearly ten years and have always had positives experiences. The staff is friendly, the rooms are extremely clean and the location is very convenient. Whether we go for a "couple's getaway" or to meet up with family, it's the best place to visit!

We booked late at the Sea Crest so we paid pretty, but overall it was very very nice. We did not have an ocean view but were in the breezeway in the back on the third floor which sadly overlooked the roofs of the other lesser kept motels. It was nonetheless relaxing.

The room itself made up for the lack of view with a great kitchenette (everything but an oven) to save on dining out. Full size fridge. Bar area. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker. Two nice and firm queen beds in a separate quarter with great non-stop air conditioner. Pull out sofa. Plenty of extra pillows and more towels came daily than we needed or used. Plenty of space for setting up. Dining table. It was hotter than hell during our stay so the pool was a must several times a day.

The place is somewhat dated in design but it is kept up well: tireless staff sweeping, painting, turning rooms. The latin maintenance guy is dreamy. Nary a grain of sand when walking around barefoot and they bleach-mop the breezeways which is good for barefoot living at the beach.

Off street parking area partially enclosed, but tight: we bashed a fender on a cement support beam trying to get out. Elevator or steps. Ice machine at end of hall. TVs are small but who cared?

The Sea Crest has a longtime mature clientele which makes for a very nice and quiet atmosphere: no screaming children. The pool is gorgeous. The hot tub is a boiling cauldron -- too hot. The rooms are non-smoking but if you do, there are sand buckets around for butts. Vending: 75 cents a can of soda -- where do you see that lately? Plenty of lounges at pool and shade if needed.

Beach view is great, beach is clean; crowded and hot but it is directly across near a beach tag booth and a concession stand for food or chair/ umbrella rentals. About a 3 block walk to the action on the strip and toward Washington Mall which has been done over recently.

It's very charming if pricey, but I suppose they have the right to be competitive. We tried to vie for an extra night but that extra night would have broke me.

Overall, to be in Cape May is heaven. I've even lived there for a few years and I never tire of it. The Sea Crest is a winner. We will be back!

My wife and I just returned from a 3 day stay at the Inn. I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. Room was spotless, maid service outstanding, pool and surrounding area pristine. The owners take great pride in their establishment and it shows. Friendly staff, GREAT location right across the street from the beach, it has it all. We WILL return.

My husband and I love to visit Cape May many times during the year, and we always choose to stay at the Sea Crest. We have tried many different area hotels in the past, but we find that the Sea Crest has the cleanest rooms, convenient location to the beach, and they have a sparkling pool and hot tub! The Sea Crest even offers a penthouse suite (Two queen-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms sharing a living room/kitchen area and balcony) that we often reserve in October to enjoy with our friends. This inn is a nice place for a couple to get away; I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a nice place to stay to quietly get away for a week or a weekend. Enjoy!

Since parking is at a premium in Cape May, we were glad to be able to have a secure spot to park our car and walk everywhere. Nice restaurants and coffee shops close by. Since we went to Cape May to go the beach (not sit in our room), we didn't get an ocean view room and saved $100. Pay cash and you get a small discount as well. If you opt for an ocean view, be aware that people must walk past your door to get to their room. The windows are tinted but you can still see inside. Our room was off to the side between the storage rooms. It was large with 2 love seats. We could also use the back fire escape for easy private access. Internet does not work in the rooms. You can work in the small lobby however. The pool and spa were a nice plus and well maintained. The ice machine was always full.

We stayed here for a 3 day mini vacation to attend a wedding in Cape May. It was our first time staying here. We were not disappointed. The entire place is spotless. Cleanliness & maintenance are obviously top priority. The location is right across the street from the beach. The pool is well-kept (but could be heated to a warmer temperature). It seemed like the jets in the jacuzzi were missing the nozzles(or it was supposed to bubble only at the neck?) You are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, & to watch beautiful sunsets. The staff is very accomodating. We will definitely return.

My wife and I Just returned from a trip to Cape May to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. We chose the Sea Crest Motor Inn based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor. We arrived and found the location of the hotel to be perfect, across from the beach and near the end of town so the traffic wasn't too bad. Free parking and a speedy check in was much appreciated after a long drive. We found our room to be really clean and spacious. We booked a 4th floor 2 room suite and found a kitchenette with the basics. Large sliding doors opened to a semi-private balcony and an incredible view of the ocean. The bed was a queen (I think) but it seemed a bit on the small side and a little uncomfortable. A few minutes after settling in our room, there was a knock at our door, it was one of the hotel employees with a bottle of Merlot for us to celebrate our anniversary. This was a great surprise and an awesome gesture by the hotel staff and my wife and I really appreciated it. There was a super clean pool and hot tub in the court yard with plenty of lounge chairs. The owners of this hotel obviously take great pride in their business and my wife and I can't wait for a return trip. We will ask for the same room because it was perfect. Thank you to the staff of Sea Crest Motor Inn for making this special weekend perfect in every way!
