“Wonderful 1st Experience at B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2012

My husband and I decided last minute to get away for our 42 nd wedding anniversary. We found Mary Ann and Jay to be delightful hosts. Breakfast and 5:00 pm "SNACKS" were delicious. I recently had a knee replacement so the Cottage room was easy to enter and was on the ground floor. Definately would come back and recommend others to try this B&B.

Jay and Mary Ann are wonderful hosts. The sit-down breakfasts and late afternoon wine and hors d'œuvres gave us a chance to meet other guests while enjoying the delicious food. The inn is in a quiet neighborhood, just a few blocks away from the Washington Inn, where we had a great dinner on the first night of our stay. We hope to go back soon.

Room Tip: The LaDame room has a great jacuzzi tub

My husband, teenage son, and I spent a wonderful three days at Inn at the Park. The breakfast and afternoon hors d'œuvres were delicious. Mary Ann and Jay even accommodated our son's preferences. The accommodations were charming and well-kept. We even had a separate room for our son. Mary Ann and Jay were also gracious hosts--advising us on restaurants and things to do in Cape May, checking in on our thoughts, and generally making us feel at home. I highly recommend this B&B, for families and for couples.

This is our 10th stay at the inn at the park. Mary Ann and Jay are like family. Its hard to know where to start because everything they do is special. The rooms are always very clean and well kept. 3 of the rooms are on the first floor so if you have trouble with the steps like me it makes it very convenient. A gourmet breakfast is served every morning. Jay is a trained chef and mary ann keeps records on returning guests. She trys to make sure you are served something or something you reailly enjoy. How many inn keepers do that? Afternoon hor derves are served at with wine and makes a great social hour with other guests. Everything is done with the guest in mind. We can't wait to return again. Try the inn at the park and you will keep going back.

Room Tip: First floor if you have trouble with steps

We stayed at the Inn at the Park for two nights and had a lovely time. The owners are extremely friendly, personable people and we enjoyed chatting with them. The guests were also interesting. Our room was lovely, with all of the antique furniture in great shape. In the early evening they have a wine tasting with appetizers -- yummy stuff (ex: bacon-wrapped dates with cheese, cheese 'pennies' (round, flat, fried cheesy goodness), fruit, red and white wines, tea, bruschetta, etc.). Breakfasts were delicious, as well (chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, apple fritter, scones, etc.). They go out of their way to make sure you'll enjoy your food (one of the guests was a vegan and that made separate food specially for her).

The Inn is within walking distance to the beach and Washington Street shopping. The owners had good dinner reservation recommendations, as well. Our favorite was Tisha's. It ranked up there with a top NYC restaurant.

I only wish we could have stayed there longer. We greatly enjoyed our getaway.

We had a wonderful trip to Cape May. The Inn at the Park is a beautiful home. Mary Ann and Jay take tremendous pride in making sure you feel at home. All rooms have private baths and 2 rooms have private entrances. The rooms are nicely decorated and spotless. The breakfasts were great and the owners are friendly and courteous . The home is a short 10 minute walk to either the beach or the outdoor mall. We will certainly go back.

This bed and breakfast is great! The owners Jay and Mary Ann are warm and kind, the breakfasts are delicious, and our room was lovely--it had a huge, comfy bed and a nice, big bathroom. And I liked the location of the B and B, too: it was in a pretty, Victorian neighborhood that was only a 10-minute walk to the downtown, but it wasn't smack dab in the middle of the crowds. Overall, this was a great experience, and I hope to visit the Inn at the Park again soon!
