Yes, it's 118 years old but no excuse for torn carpets, peeling wallpaper, a shabby mission style futon (a futon in a Victorian hotel, really?)and torn window shades. I tripped over the power cord to the Zenith tv. Probably the worst craftsmanship and upkeep I have ever seen. Any place where they installed modern comforts, like a new toilet, they actually left the holes from the old one in the wall. I wondered why they offered such a good deal with $40 in Inn money and a full breakfast and now I know why. We were there for only one night and I wanted a beautiful room and I got the Bates hotel.
