Mom saw ad in the Herald for "All you can eat snow crab claws" $19.95. She also wanted to treat a family of 8 with 6 and 8 year year old kids. This was a reasonable option so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived there were only 2 other people in the entire place on a Saturday night. I have to admit we were scared! It was totally Not what we expected. The chef Jason came out to meet us as my Mom had called the day before and talked to him on the phone. He told us he would make the kids anything they wanted if it was not on the menu! The one other table had finished up so we basically had private dining which was really good for us especially with the kids. We ordered 3 snow crabs, steamer bag, chicken Parmesan, shrimp scampi, chicken fingers & fries, mozzarella sticks and potato
skins. All the meals included the salad bar which was really good, it even had hummus on it for the fresh veggies. We we served hot soft rolls with soft butter (not frozen - we hate that!). Knowing how fidgety kids can be, they immediately brought out the kids meals without us asking! The chicken fingers had a spicy sauce that was served with it that my niece stole for her mozzarella sticks vs. the marina they came with and the waitress asked my nephew if he wanted more of that or something else. He opted for the barbecue sauce which mom and dad had to try and it had a very good smokey flavor. The crab legs were delish served with big bowls of butter, rosemary potatoes, and crisp green beans with a creamy mushroom sauce! The steamer pouch had clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage, crab legs, potatoes, and corn on the
cob. All delish. The shrimp scampi was good excluding the pasta which could have used more flavor. The chicken parm was also good! We opted out of dessert because we were all so full when we were finished eating. The only downside was the air conditioning was on too low as so many restaurants in the area do. They wanted to turn it off for us but it was locked and the person with the key had left for the day. They did open the door to the restaurant to try to heat the place up a little. Their one bartender also called out so one of the waitresses was making drinks. We had to teach her how to make them! She was a good sport! When the kids were done eating and they were getting rammy the one waitress asked them what they wanted on tv and changed the channel for them making their
day. So, all in all this was a great experience. If you are looking for a quite place to eat with good food and a staff that is willing to do anything to make you happy this is the place to go. Give up the long waits and give this place a try. We will definitely be going back. Local Cape May County Residents including a Chef review.
