We chose SeaSalt to hold our intimate wedding brunch of 70 people because we were drawn to the modern decor. Our day was flawless. All of the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The room looked amazing and the staff was very attentive. I would recommend them to anyone having a special event.

We loved the food and top notch trendy restaurant was a welcome addition to Cape May. We missed seeing Sea Salt on the Jazz Fest schedule this year.

As described by other reviewers, the service is terrible. You are seated and no one comes to the table for 10 mins. You are lucky to get drinks within 20 mins of being there. The most basic of questions about the menu cannot be answered by the staff. It has the location and the decor. The food is ok but the experience is terrible.

Sea Salt was totally not what my fiancé and I were expecting. We had a gift certificate to dine there so decided to give it a try, boy what a waste. We had a 8pm reservation and were seated promptly however that was just about all we got that was good. We sat there for about 15 minutes before our server finally came over to the table. When he arrived he offered bottled water or tap and took our drink orders, however did not offer to tell us his name or if there were any chef additions to the menu. 10 minutes later he came over with no drinks apologized for the wait and took our order. Shortly there after the woman, who seemed to look like the manager came to our table with our drinks. While waiting for our appetizers we did not get any bread, and we were starving, until the apps arrived about 45 minutes after sitting down. The bread was the telling point that the meal would not be great as it was not even warm nor did it have that nice crisp crust. My fiancé had the coriander encrusted tuna with a citrus sweet chili sauce topped with shaved asparagus which was good when eaten all together in one bite, but the tuna alone was under seasoned. I myself had the crisp calamari with a spicy aioli dipping sauce. Crispy it was not, the calamari was soggy and had little flavor but the aioli wasn't that bad, nice little bite to it. For our entrees we had the Halibut and Red Snapper with a side of asparagus. The red snapper was delicious and so was the English pea risotto that was paired with it and was the side of asparagus with a perfect char flavor from the grill. The halibut was anther story though, when I had ordered I specifically asked the server (name unknown still) if the chef cooks his fish to what is considered medium rare in temperature and he replied "yes all fish is cooked that way." What a lie that was the Halibut had a nice crisp on the presentation side but it was Heavily salted and was over cooked. It was a generous portion size of fish but offered no starch at all with it. We would have liked to stay for dessert but our meter was almost up and it had already been 1 hour and 50 minutes for a party of 2 and the restaurant really wasn't that busy. I will give them another shot as all restaurants can have the "one bad night" however I will not recommend Sea Salt to anyone that is looking for a fantastic meal worthy of $140 without tip.

If the fresh grouper sandwich is on the menu- get it! Very good, great service & it was nice sitting outside looking over the harbor
