Description: In the Spring of 1988 on the corner of Pacific and Spencer in Wildwood New Jersey, Letitia Negro opened a ten table restaurant known for "Home Cooking". The $9.95 three course price fix menu featured family favorites and "Made from the heart" cuisine. The food, like its Restaurant School graduate chef/owner, was genuine, unique and unforgettable. The end of Tisha's Home Cooking came early in the 1990's, but in turn became the beginning of Tisha's Fine Dining in Cape May. In 1995, Paul Negro, son of Letitia, and his wife Jennifer continued the tradition here in Cape May. Paul took what he learned from his mother, added his own talent and love for food, and established a great following. Some things have changed in the city and the restaurant has now moved from the solarium building on the beach to its new home on the Washington Street Mall. No matter where they are Paul and Jennifer will proudly continue the tradition of love and passion for food and people in honor of Tisha, an amazing friend, mother and chef.

Had lunch overlooking the mall - which was a nice experience. The lunch paninis are great and the bisque is delicious. Getting used to the idea that Tisha's isn't just a dinner place anymore ...and we have yet to be disappointed on their expanded menu. The wait staff was very attentive, and even thought it was not crowded, they still covered for each other throughout our meal. It's an annual stop for us and nothing has deterred us for scheduling a stop for next year.

warm rolls with nutty olive oil...small plates of crab cake and shrimp bruschetta... filet au poivre on a layer of smashed potatoes with a tower of thick cut onion rings atop...and a generous bowl of spicy puttanesca. That should have been enough, but we couldn't resist the pastry chef's selections---warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a creamy cloudless chocolate cake with warm chocolate sauce. Yum! Absolutely masterful.

Perfect atmosphere for a quiet, romantic, delicious dinner. The food was exceptional. Everything was fresh and prepared to perfection. Service was outstanding. Entrees are a bit pricey, in the $22-31 range, but that also includes bread with dipping oil, choice of house or ceasar salad, and lemon sorbet between courses. Appetizers or 'small plates' are around $10-12. It is BYOB, so that does save you on the overall cost. I had the flounder special and my husband had the veal and we both loved our meals. Reservations are recommended - we went in at 7:15 on a Thurs. during the off-season and had to wait an hour for a table. Since we were staying nearby it was not a problem, but if you want a specific seating time I'd call ahead. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We went for lunch. The pannini sandwiches had fresh and tasty ingredients. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and neat. Service is quick and friendly. But it's on the pricey side, especially from what I saw on the dinner menu.

We had lunch at Tisha's, which was a bargain by Cape May standards. Their salads are excellent and very large. Their seafood sandwiches are very good. The staff is very helpful and professional. The rooms are very nice. We will return.
