It is necessary to make money in the restaurant business, and that is a difficult task. It is always good to see an establishment survive. That being said, the charm and romance of Tisha's is gone to me. I loved, loved, loved the old location, the white table cloths, the professional service. This week, I went in for lunch, to try the new mall location. I was greeted by a casually clad server, who put us at a fine table, but without the old charm. Maybe it was the lunch thing???
I did not expect the "what do you guys want" kind of diner approach to service. It wasn't busy, but she put stuff down and rushed away. My husband was handed a plastic bottle of mustard that wasn't even opened., food was cold. Mushroom risotto was tasty but not creamy, more of a mushroom rice, and quite salty.
All and all this was nice, but certainly not the "old Tisha's", and quite touristy. Things change.
