Description: In the Spring of 1988 on the corner of Pacific and Spencer in Wildwood New Jersey, Letitia Negro opened a ten table restaurant known for "Home Cooking". The $9.95 three course price fix menu featured family favorites and "Made from the heart" cuisine. The food, like its Restaurant School graduate chef/owner, was genuine, unique and unforgettable. The end of Tisha's Home Cooking came early in the 1990's, but in turn became the beginning of Tisha's Fine Dining in Cape May. In 1995, Paul Negro, son of Letitia, and his wife Jennifer continued the tradition here in Cape May. Paul took what he learned from his mother, added his own talent and love for food, and established a great following. Some things have changed in the city and the restaurant has now moved from the solarium building on the beach to its new home on the Washington Street Mall. No matter where they are Paul and Jennifer will proudly continue the tradition of love and passion for food and people in honor of Tisha, an amazing friend, mother and chef.

“The thrill is gone”
Reviewed 13 June 2012

It is necessary to make money in the restaurant business, and that is a difficult task. It is always good to see an establishment survive. That being said, the charm and romance of Tisha's is gone to me. I loved, loved, loved the old location, the white table cloths, the professional service. This week, I went in for lunch, to try the new mall location. I was greeted by a casually clad server, who put us at a fine table, but without the old charm. Maybe it was the lunch thing???
I did not expect the "what do you guys want" kind of diner approach to service. It wasn't busy, but she put stuff down and rushed away. My husband was handed a plastic bottle of mustard that wasn't even opened., food was cold. Mushroom risotto was tasty but not creamy, more of a mushroom rice, and quite salty.
All and all this was nice, but certainly not the "old Tisha's", and quite touristy. Things change.

“Outrageously Good.”
Reviewed 6 June 2012

Took my parents for dinner this weekend and they were blown away. The entire staff is courteous and friendly. But, it's all about the food. There isnt' a single fault to be found. From appetizers to dessert and everything in between you can really appreciate the freshness. The seafood is amazing. I had the shrimp and crabcake, which I now crave every night. My husband had the tuna which he said was the best he ever had. My dad had the steak special which he raves about still and the tai salmon was delectible. It is a bring your own bottle establishment so feel free to do so. This is definitely my favorite Cape May restaurant hands down.

“Superb! Cozy, delicious...”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

The food was delicious! (Was half of Cape May in the room eating with us? Popular because its GOOD!) The fried Calamari-Pepper appetizer a tasty adventure for our taste buds. Superb FRESH, Italian-style menus. The wait staff efficient, professional & polite. (Our table service time could have been a little shorter. I guess the #of people there that night made it LOONGGGer.)
