Description: In the Spring of 1988 on the corner of Pacific and Spencer in Wildwood New Jersey, Letitia Negro opened a ten table restaurant known for "Home Cooking". The $9.95 three course price fix menu featured family favorites and "Made from the heart" cuisine. The food, like its Restaurant School graduate chef/owner, was genuine, unique and unforgettable. The end of Tisha's Home Cooking came early in the 1990's, but in turn became the beginning of Tisha's Fine Dining in Cape May. In 1995, Paul Negro, son of Letitia, and his wife Jennifer continued the tradition here in Cape May. Paul took what he learned from his mother, added his own talent and love for food, and established a great following. Some things have changed in the city and the restaurant has now moved from the solarium building on the beach to its new home on the Washington Street Mall. No matter where they are Paul and Jennifer will proudly continue the tradition of love and passion for food and people in honor of Tisha, an amazing friend, mother and chef.

We went to Tisha's in Cape May, NJ for a later lunch today. We started off with their award winning New England Clam Chowder which is EXCELLENT. The bowl of soup came with a roll.

I had the Rubens Turkey Ciabatta Sandwich --- sliced turkey with a few small candied pecans and cranberry sauce on a ciabatta roll. (I asked for the cole slaw they normally put on the sandwich on the side.) I chose the Spring Mix Greens (rather than the french fries) that come with the sandwich. It was very good & would definitely recommend it.

My husband had the American Cheeseburger (medium well) with a side of french fries (rather than the spring mix greens) that comes with the cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was very good. The french fries were just OK - we only ate some of them (and left most of them), but we had plenty to eat with the soup & our sandwich entrees.

Our server, Jess was very nice & the service was very good as was our meals overall. We'd highly recommend Tisha's. We usually eat there when in Cape May - prefer lunch rather than dinner.

We always make sure when we come to Cape May we dine at TIsha's. So when my husband and I had a weekend away in May, we had a lovely dinner. As always the dinner was wonderful, and also the service. Always a winner in Cape May!

We've been to Tisha's several times and always love it but this time we found a new delicious sauce on the curried clams. Amazingly good; in fact, we had to scrape the dish with bread to get it all. Couldn't get the recipe so that pretty well guarantees we'll be back to try it again. The mushroom risotto was also delicious but the treat of the evening was the curried clam dish. Nice location; excellent service; BYOB; fine food.

Just had my third dinner at Tisha's and it never disappoints! My husband said the gnocchi were the best he'd ever had. I had the lobster bisque (more lobster meat than I've ever had in a bisque) and the lobster Mac and cheese (again, full of meat). Both were excellent, the service was pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to return!

Friendly, accommodating and outstanding menu in an intimate setting. Sit outdoors on the rear or front patio for people watching on the square or in the dining room for a touch more formal feeling but it's at the shore so come enjoy!
