Description: A winding slate path through overhanging vines and tropical foliage leads to the historic 1840 Carriage house. Slowly spinning ceiling fans stir the aromas of French-New Orleans accented cooking and fresh seafood and steaks grilling over mesquite. Envision yourself in New Orleans or Key West. Dining in the canopied garden, or on the candlelit veranda, the dream continues with the exotic cuisine of internationally acclaimed Chef Henry Sing Cheng, whose original creations include local-caught tuna, swordfish and mahi-mahi in fabulous sauces, elaborate entrees of local shellfish & lobster, and the justly famous smoked, grilled and blackened steaks and prime rib. Beyond the menu, a dozen or more seafood specials are offered nightly. The helpful staff, coolly attired in 410's signature tropical batik, makes you feel like you are dining on a private yacht. “Enjoyable Year After Year”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

Another amazing dinner. Have gone here year after year and never a bad meal. Always sit on the porch for a very romantic evening. Prices on the high side, but you get what you pay for. Highly Recommend Reservations.

“Really enjoyed my dish”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

We were told about the specials and two or three of us wanted one of them, but they only had one left . I picked something else, another fish dish, and was very happy with it. BYOB helped save some money. Food was expensive, but I thought worth it.

“Excellent food and service”

Great restaurant. BYOB saves some money. Menu was expensive, but worth it. Tables a little too close, but food was great.

“Good food, lovely atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and was surprised to see so many negative comments. Yes, it is expensive, but it is comparable to other fine dining restaurants in Cape May. It is usually crowded, so we always make a reservation, especially in the summer. The atmosphere is lovely, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We have always found the service to be excellent, and the waitstaff friendly and knowledgable. The cuisine is creative with accent on New Orleans/Caribbean style dishes. As are most restaurants in Cape May, it is BYOB with no corking fee. Definitely not a family restaurant, but otherwise I would highly recommend it.

“Disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Very disappointed in everything ... From start to finish. Not one dish was good, including a basic salad. The scallop apply was horrible and indelible... we sent it back. Waiter argued they were blackened. All of us dining had blackened food before, and it was never bitter and burnt tasting. Service was not good either.... 25 minutes to get bread.
