“Heavy Weather but Delicious Food”
Reviewed 22 April 2006

This place is ranked well by the Trip Advisor's Most Popular list and didn't disappoint us (two adults and one nine year old boy, very particular). First of all, the decor is attractive, subdued, but not too fussy. We wore (clean) casual wear and didn't feel under-dressed. Service was friendly, fast and efficient despite the bustle of a full house. The garlic bread was chewy and slightly spicy, and the child's lasagna ($9) was delicious, according to our son. Our entrees were a cut above good. The chef's fish special this visit, salmon with dill sauce ($25), doesn't often appeal to me because of mixed experiences with dill, but I really loved it on this half pound steak. My wife was shocked when she noticed it gone. The other entree, Mediterranean breaded shrimp(also $25), was topped with cheese and served on a bed of spinach. Good but slightly too much butter for one of us.

No liquor license means no glass of wine is served, but they do sell Cape May wine by the bottle. (We didn't try it, but the boisterious party next to us seemed to find it tolerable.)

We really liked this restaurant and hope you do too!

“Great food”
Reviewed 4 October 2005

This food at Rosa Cucina was great - the shrimp scampi was loaded with shrimp; the delmonico steak melted in your mouth.

They open at 5 PM and it would be a good idea to have a reservation. We arrived promptly at 5 without a reservation, but we were courteously accommodated anyway. Service was good. Would definitely return there.

“Amazing italian food - we loved it!”
Reviewed 16 May 2005

We took the recommendation of trip advisor and went to Rosa Cucina for dinner in May 2005 for our 1st Anniversary dinner. What an amazing surprise!

The menu ranges from classic italian meals from $15 to specials that cost around $25. My husband and I selected some classics. I got the baked ziti parmagiana with meatballs and my husband got lasagna. We felt like little kids who kept saying over and over that with was the best italian food we have ever had....and we eat italian all the time. The baked ziti had a wonderful sauce and riccotta cheese that was fresh and delicious. I like when the riccotta cheese is not too mixed into the sauce, and this was just perfect.

Also - don't miss the Brutus salad - their version of ceasar salad but BETTER!

The decor is very nice and the service was very friendly and professional. We truly enjoyed the whole dining experience.

Don't forget to bring your own bottle of wine! Fantastic dinner. Do not miss!
