Great sand and sea and it was not too crowded. There is room for your kids to use boogie boards in the ocean and room on the beach to have a catch, fly a kite or just relax. It is a pretty short walk from the boardwalk to the water too. Some beaches have nearby comfort stations while others are not so near. Food is generally available right across the street from the Boardwalk and a weekly badge (Sat - Sat) is only $15 per person. Very clean and peaceful.

Love this beach and the beach tags. Have quite a fun collection now. Great family time. Good waves some days for boogie boards. Surfing at the end of boardwalk. Plenty of sandy beach for kids. Go here every year for a relaxing week.

Cape May has beautiful beaches. They are clean and lifeguards are there daily during the summer. As in most beaches in NJ, there is a fee. You can purchases badges at each entrance. They offer daily, 3 day, weekly, and seasonal badges. Surfing is allowed on specific beaches in specific surfing only areas. Boogy Boards are allowed at all beaches. Most beaches have plenty of room for you even on crowded days. The only beach that tends to get crowded is The Cove as it is a much narrower beach than the others, especially during high tide or after a storm.

There is no boardwalk, instead they have a promenade which just a few stores on it. The most stores are located by Convention Center. There are public bathrooms scattered along the promenade; but no changing facilities. A couple of the stores on the promenade offer food and there are a few hot dog carts parked in front of the promenade. Depending on which beach you go to, you may or may not be close to food. Each entrance is handicap accessible.

There is on street, metered parking which can be difficult to find during peak season.

I's a fun place with beach and adjacent downtown attractions. There were beach boxes (approx 3x4x3 ft) for chairs, umbrella, and boogie board storage on the beach; beach cabana's for 2, 4 or large groups that could be rented; and with the downtown right next to the beach, plenty of places to grab lunch. The beaches were large, clean, and well serviced from lifeguards to emergency service. It wasn't overly crowded and the typical Jersey beach white sand. The waves were breaking at the shore so a little dangerous for the little ones but there were areas next to the jetties that gave some relief or go to Cape May Point where the beaches are quiet and wave break isn't as large. We are used to the beaches at Long Beach Island but we liked Cape May as well or better

After being to all of the beaches on the shoreline I have to say this is our favorite! It's myself a 3, 8, & 11yr old and my husband it's clean and relaxing! Some of the other places are more flashy or like college central!
