“Beautiful setting, wonderful service, terrific meal”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

On a trip to Cape May this past weekend we were encouraged to give the Blue Rose Inn restaurant a try for dinner and we were not disappointed. The Blue Rose has been recently re-opened under new ownership and management and the result, both inside and out, is delightful. Our food was delicious and everyone we encountered, from the hostess to our waiter, was pleasant, accommodating and obviously well trained. It's so nice to eat in a place where everyone is truly glad to see you. Portions were perfect-we enjoyed an appetizer, entrée and we split dessert (three types of cheesecake recommended by our waiter, "awesome") and I would say I felt "full" but never stuffed. The menu was well balanced, with a nice number of choices, not too many, so that all palates can be satisfied. All of the menu items are the creation of Chef Michael and virtually all of the food is made on-site...amazing. Won't break you bank. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area.

We don't often visit Cape May but when we do, we'll make sure we visit the Blue Rose Inn! .

“Don't Walk By This One”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

Had an amazing meal here. The food was delicious, the waitstaff pleasant and accommodating and the ambience is outstanding. Chef Michael offers a menu that any foodie would love. We started with his prosciutto wrapped in mozzarella with tomatoes. The perfect light start to our meal. I enjoyed the carrot agnolotti, which were light and the taste was magnificent. My husband had the grilled shrimp over tagliettelle and that too was unbelievably good. The portions were generous while not being overwhelming. In fact I did bring some of my main course home because I had to save room for dessert. Three mini-cheesecakes. Goat cheese & fig, Berry and caramel. Oh my god! Make sure you save room for dessert. The waiter recommended their French press coffee with dessert and that was also a treat for the taste buds. We ate our meal on the porch which was delightful.

“Outstanding Dinner”
Reviewed 8 August 2013

Had an unbelievably delicious dinner here during a short visit to Cape May yesterday. Service was outstanding and the food was prepared to absolute perfection. I enjoyed the "Bibb" Salad and pan-seared chicken. If it's burgers and fries you desire, this probably isn't the place for you; however, if you appreciate fine food and personal service, you will appreciate this restaurant. I will definitely return next time I'm in Cape May.

“Top Restaurant in Cape May”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

I want to tell you about a most fantastic and wonderful experience my wife and I just had of all the times we have been going to historic Cape May. We stayed in “The Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant” and had exceptional food and top hat service from the time we arrived until we departed. The newly refurbished Inn has been redone inside and out. The rooms are classically furnished to recreate an era of elegance. The main dining room has beautiful blue glass goblets on every table and outside blue glass lanterns are centered on each table of the wraparound porch where you can dine al fresco or just have a glass of wine and relax. The sitting room has afternoon treats put out by their marvelous kitchen. A scrumptious breakfast is included with your room. There is 10% off dinner by showing your room keys. All foods are made from scratch like their melt in your mouth brioche’, marvelous desserts to the specially seasoned butter. The courteous staff at the Inn makes you feel special and treat you so well that you feel like family. The Inn is one block from The Washington Street Mall and a short walk to the beach. The Inn provides free beach tags. For both of us this is the lodging, fine dining and exceptional service spot at “The Cape”. If you want an exceptional time filled with fond memories, go to this friendly Inn and experience the good feelings to be found at “The Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant”.
