If you'd like to enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful Victorian home, then try this wonderful restaurant. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. We took our 12 year old and her friend but be warned that this is not a place for picky eaters or poorly behaved children. Our meals were scallops, beef braised short ribs, roasted pork pappardelle and carrot agnolotti. The bread is a new item this year and wow, was it good. For dessert we shared lemon ricotta donuts and chocolate mousse. Everything was fantastic. And the service was great - attentive, friendly but not overbearing. The chef/owners father (also an owner) stops by your table to say hello. We remembered him from last year. Nice touch. Try this lovely restaurant.

The cooking here outruns the rest of the experience; decor that is fusty and some weird decisions on presentation (like scallops in a kind of canoe-shaped dish) distract from some of the best cooking in the area. But those scallops, lemony and oceanfresh, make up for a lot. Ditto the calamari salad appetizer and the papardelle with pulled pork.

Like almost all the good meals in Cape May you need to bring your own wine; this takes a lutt

Loved this place, it reminded me of Key West. The meal was delicious and ample portions were offered. We sat outside and dined on the porch. The servers were wonderful as was the entire experience. I will be dining there again.

My husband and I tried the restaurant in June based on reviews we read. Honestly I can say it is not worth a trip back. We were able to get a reservation and were seated in the middle dining room against the wall. There were only 2 other tables in there and the acoustics are horrible. We were sat next to a table of 4 that was fine. However there was a table of 5 that were so loud the owner kept telling the waiter to tell them to lower their voice. The waiter however just encouraged the loud behavior. They were seated first so I know they were acting like this before we arrived. This is why I cannot understand putting more tables in the room with them if there were open tables in the other larger dining room. My husband and I tried to eat and get out of there since it was impossible to hear each other. The short ribs were very good but the scallops were average. The price is on the high side for the experience we had. Other reviewers have spoken about the owner checking on tables during dinner. He checked on the table next to us and it was obvious he knew them, perhaps locals. The owner never checked on our table; perhaps he was embarrassed about the situation or we are not locals so we do not count as repeat business. This is a bad stance to take because even though we are not locals we visit Cape May in excess of 12 times a year. My recommendation is try a different restaurant, Cape May has many wonderful choices.
