I stayed at The Eldredge House in November last year, and in March this year, and it was a wonderful experience. The house is wonderfully kept, so comfortable, and Todd, the innkeeper is a wonderful and caring host.

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend at the Eldridge house and we loved it. Everything about the house is charming. There is a lovely front yard and backyard with seating areas. Our room was beautifully decorated and very cozy. The place has a very nice energy about it. Parking is provided on the grounds, and it is close to everything you'd want to see in Cape May. We will definitely return.

We had a delightful night at the Eldredge House in May. The location was perfect for us - quiet street, away from the crowds yet a quick walk to town, lots of trees and flowers. Todd was the perfect relaxed host and allowed flexibility in our schedule. The house is old and that's how it feels. (We did turn off the lights in the windows at night because we prefer a darker room.) If you enjoy quiet, comfort and reasonable prices, this is a great option. We will return in the fall.

Inn keeper was great and higher marks from 3 stars for that reason. Also appreciate the inn keeper's flexibility in offering one-night stays; that's very hard to find in Cape May. We only had one night to spare, so this was great. Coffee, tea, etc available all day in the sitting area. Free parking on the street and plentiful because you're well away from the main drag (more on that below).
Rooms as depicted on website. A little kitschy, but this is a B&B style inn. Bathroom just OK. Noise machine in the room was awesome, never had that before, loved it! Room faced street and not as quiet as one would think.
Flexible breakfast options - you get a voucher but you have to go where the voucher is accepted (about 4 places only), one place we wanted to go to was very busy, and we didn't have time to wait around. Ended up walking back and going to a bakery nearby, which was good, but not a full breakfast either.
The inn is a little far from the main drag and ocean, but not too far, still walkable.

Well, we are back in Cape May and this is the third time that we are staying in the BEST inn in town. The Eldredge House is clearly going to be our choice of places to stay while in Cape May. We have never been down here for the Christmas season and we are glad we made the trip. The inn is decorated wonderfully. In fact as we pulled up, the inn keeper Todd was stringing lights on the front entrance! As usual, Todd has been fantastic with accomodations. We have never been dissappointed with The Eldredge House and are already planning on booking our next stay here for the summer. You will not be upset if you stay here. We HIGHLY recommend Todd and the Eldredge House!

We stayed in the Captain's Quarters at the Eldredge House for Victorian Week. The room had ample closet space and a huge bathroom with tub, plenty of room for our Victorian costumes and for us to gussy up for the Vintage Ball.

This Colonial home in West Cape May had very comfortable bed and bedding, was totally quiet at night, had on site parking, and was walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Not only were the rates lower than any of the other 12 bed and breakfasts we have stayed at, they gave discounts for rainy days! Check in and check out are flexible, and Todd is available by cell at any time. Snacks and beverages are always out, as well as a communal fridge.

We used our restaurant vouchers for brunch at Bella Vida across the street every day. Could sleep in as long as we wanted, undisturbed. You call when you want your room serviced.

So if you want all of the comfort and hominess of a bed and breakfast, without the social breakfast or group tea-time on the porch, this is for you. It was like we were staying in our own vacation home with full time, invisible staff. Super private and relaxing, with a beautiful garden to sit in, as well.

Room Tip: The Captain's Quarters is in the back of the house on the second floor, the other two rooms are...

This place is great and away from all of the noise from the center of town. You are a short walk or bike ride from the beach, stores and restaurant's. Todd is great and very helpful with all of your needs. The breakfast voucher are great and lets you check out new places. Make sure to try Backstreet and George's. We can't wait to be back again.
