“A Visit that provides a memory worth remembering”
Reviewed 27 February 2008

Touring this estate home of Dr. Physick during a family vacation was a gratifying and therapeutic experience in today's rat race where people lose sight of the meaning of "virtue" just to come out on top and show off.

“Boo!”
Reviewed 7 December 2007

My husband and I drove to Cape May to the Physick Estate after seeing an article in the NY Daily News advertising the Halloween Haunted Event. To my dismay, on Halloween, they had cancelled all events due to "trick or treaters." Unbelievable! I wouldn't count on making a plans to Physick Estate, there is no guarantee!!

“I love this house!”
Reviewed 29 September 2006

I absolutely LOVE this house! I think that it is so beautiful. There is just something about this house that keeps me coming back to visit it. Everytime i am in cape may or wildwood i come to see it . It has some original furnishings and im just amazed that through the years it was left without anyone caring for it that no one did serious damage to it It is just a really beautiful house and the history that goes with it i find interesting. Its just sad that Emlen Physick never had children and a wife to enjoy it.The dogs he had must have loved it . All that property to run around! I found the tour very interesting!I If i ever win the lottery i would love to buy it!!

“We never tire of The Physick Estate”
Reviewed 22 August 2006

As proud members of MAC (Mid-Atlantic Center For The Arts), my wife and I support and applaud Cape May's efforts to preserve the history and ambiance of this beautiful shore town. One of the perks we enjoy as active members is free admission to The Physick Estate. We have taken the various tours at various times of the year over a dozen times and never tire of the house, the tour, or the ever-changing attractions in this living museum. Throughout the years, the guides have been uniformly excellent: friendly and knowledgable. The interior layout and exterior design of the house will appeal to anyone with an interest in architecture. The tour itself will appeal to anyone with an interest in Victorian history. After the tour, the Carriage House Tea room offers an excellent repast. Just a few steps from the Carriage House Tea Room is the museum, which houses a small but respectable collection of vintage clothing, artwork, and decor. Be sure to peruse the small gift shop which has an excellent collection of china tea sets, books, teas, and souvenirs. The Physick Estate also has a modest reputation for being "haunted," if you are interested in that sort of thing. Very enjoyable and a great way to kill an hour or two.
