We knew, from the minute we met Christina and the extended family from Martini Beach, that it was the place we wanted to celebrate our kids' wedding.......Christina spent countless hours...on the phone as well as planning with us at Martini Beach...and when the big day came........it was truly magical.....the venue was spectacular......immaculate.......and Christina, the wait staff and bartenders were unbelievably accommodating to us as well as all of our guests......The drinks were amazing....the food was incredible........we have only received raves from our family and friends!!!
We cannot thank them enought..........will we return???? We surely will ........and recommend Christina and the entire staff to anyone who wants a dream wedding reception.........thanks again!!!!!!!!

We just spent a few days in Cape May. There are many resturants to choose from and I'm glad we chose Martini Beach. The setting was great. We ate on the porch facing the Ocean. The Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our Waiter Anthony gave us great pointers on the Menu. The Pork "steak" was over the top tender and juicy. The New York Strip was one of the tastiest I think I have ever had. Both by the way were cooked perfectly to our request. I would recommend this place to friends and family and go back next time we are in town.

We dinned at this restaurant several years ago and we were pleased then. But last night it was one mishap after the next. Straightforward as I can tell it……we invited friends to join us for dinner. The four of us were pumped up for a good meal after a wonderful day at the beach and enjoying Cape May for all its laid back beauty. The first of the mishaps started with the cocktail order. Two of us ordered Martinis and the other two a bottle of wine. But first the wine problem. The Martini Beach has a very limited bottle wine menu. The whites consist of only four choices. Amazingly, they were out of our first two choices, which were a sauvignon blanc and the chardonnay. We decided to pass on the other two whites on their menu and selected a bottle of Pinot Noir instead, which was very good. Unfortunately, it took a while for our waitress to get this sorted out with the bar folks, but after 20 minutes we finally had drinks. The problem with the martinis came a bit later when I discovered that they were pouring me regular Tanqueray instead of the premium Tanqueray Ten brand that I ordered. Not that big of a deal I suppose, but for a place that’s known for their Martinis I felt cheated. Plus they made sure to include a separate premium liquor charge on my bill.

Now on to the food. The waitress was emphatic about that night’s specials. She told us that the Pork special was terrific, “the Kobe Beef of Pork” as she put it. So two of us ordered the Pork special, but alas, she came back after a while to tell us that they were all out of the Pork special. Well…. its at this point I think that you have to make a decision. Either get up and leave or just laugh it off and keep going, hoping that at some point things will fall into place. Well decided to hang in there, but guess what. They also were out of one of the appetizers that we ordered. An hour and 15 minutes after being seated we finally had some food on the table. What an embarrassment. The balance of the meal was a mix of marginal dishes (avoid the escargot) to some that were very good (8oz filet mignon), but at that point we were completely turned off, skipped dessert and moved on.

Lastly, several tables around us were also having problems with their meal. We really began to feel uncomfortable after a while, knowing that things were not going well around us too. It was apparent that there were some real miscommunication between the waitress staff and the kitchen. So …save your money and avoid the Martini Beach until they clean up their act, and you’ll avoid a huge disappointment.

The food and drinks here are wonderful! I was especially impressed by the marscapone bruchetta and the tasty carribean martini. Although you usually need reservations to get into the restaurant, we lucked out in that they had a little table next to the bar (with an ocean view) that we were allowed to sit at without reservations. Service was great too! We'll definitely go back.

In it's current version, upstairs over Cabanas on Beach Dr., Martini Beach offers a tapas menu. That way you can sample from a very tasty collection of dishes, including a lot of seafood. The portions are appetizer sized so you need at least 2 to make a meal and the martinins are pricey but the food, the view and the service are great. It may be noisy downstairs in Cabanas but it is very nice upstairs at Martini Beach. And you can't beat the view.
