Stayed the weekend, and, like everyone else who has reviewed this place, would definitely recommend it. Okay, it is pricey for a bed and breakfast, but what you get is so special, you will leave with a warm glow from the gas fireplaces to the homey guest lounge with tons of refreshments and the tasty "happy two-hour" treats. Each breakfast is prepared with the individual preferences of the guests in mind. When you book, you will be asked what you like and don't like. Be sure to be precise, because you will get what you say you like and not what you say you don't. Our room was quiet, warm and cozy. The bathroom had a multiple spray shower and a giant jacuzzi. The innkeeper Ray couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty and eclectic, with a vast array of juices. It's hard to imagine there's a more luxurious inn experience anywhere else in Cape May.

Room Tip: Ask what kind of mattress the room beds have. We had a temperpedic, which some people love, but whi...

What a beautiful, romantic weekend my girlfriend and I had at The Mission Inn. The room (San Buenaventura) was everything you could ask for, yet more. Comfortable warm furnishings, sumptuous bed, and a flat panel tv to watch March Madness (for 5 minutes only). The inn, is quiet, cozy, filled with history and character. Ray and Susan are as warm and inviting as their establishment. They are natural born hosts, who go out of their way to make you feel like a member of their family.

Definitely returning to Cape May (this was my first visit), and definitely staying at Mission Inn again.

Thanks Ray and Susan!

The Mission Inn's accomodations as well as the innkeepers are warm and inviting. The inn is beautiufully designed and maintained. I am pretty certain it was the best breakfast I have ever had. Susand and Ray are very helpful overall, gave some direction on eateries and called for reservations. It was really one of the most delightful stays and absoultley will be back! Thanks Again

We usually prefer the anonymity of a hotel but are so glad we chose to stay at the Mission Inn.
Besides making us feel welcome, Susan and Ray seemed completely relaxed--giving no indication of how hard they must work behind the scenes to make the Mission Inn function so flawlessly. Special shout-out to Leslie for the extraordinary breakfasts, too.

My husband and I just returned from a stay at the Mission Inn and what a special time it was. It was our first bed and breakfast ever and this place definitely set the bar quite high! Our room was beautiful (we stayed in the San Francisco) and breakfast was extraordinary! Susan and Ray are absolutely the sweetest and made us feel so at home! Thank you for a wonderful experience! We look forward to coming back (hopefully when it's not so rainy, though). :)

Ray and Susan were absolutely right on top of our weekend stay. We have stayed at 4 B+B's over the years but The Mission Inn by far exceeded our expectations. The hospitality was never ending and I can't tell you how awesome the meals were. The unlimited coffee, teas, conversation was there for the asking. My wife and I were accompanied by our son and his wife, and my mother in law. Each and every room was immaculate and comfortable. A big THANK YOU once again to Ray and Susan for their dedication to making us feel at home !

The proprietors of this amazing Inn, Susan and Ray, are to be commended for their uncompromising dedication to hospitality. I've stayed in several five-star hotels which could not hold a candle to this place. Remarkable attention to every possible detail. The rooms are beautifully appointed in a Spanish Mission style archtecture. Breakfasts and afternoon hors d'oeuvres are all fresh, local ingredients blended to gourmet standards. Students in the hospitality industry should be required to study the perfection that Susan and Ray have achieved here. Our every need was attended to. I rarely am able to relax when traveling, but the Mission Inn is like coming home. Cape May is a delightful destination, and the Mission Inn is the place to stay when you visit.
