We had stayed at the Mission Inn once before and had a great experience, so we decided to celebrate our "babymoon" there. It did not disappoint! First, the room was very nice. We stayed in the San Diego room, which was great because it was on the first floor (no stairs to climb for this pregnant woman!) It was very clean and spacious, has a built in whirlpool tub and a really nice two-person shower. The king-sized bed had a really comfy mattress topper and we slept like rocks. Second, all of the amenities are fabulous! They provide beach chairs and umbrella (both of which looked brand new), beach tags, bicycles (which we didn't use this time, for obvious reasons), clean beach towels daily and even have a private outdoor shower, which allowed us to stay at the beach after check-out and clean up afterwards. Last, and my favorite part, is the AMAZING food! The breakfasts we've enjoyed there are some of the best we've ever had. The cook is stellar and has very unique and tasty dishes every morning, all beautifully presented. In the afternoons, they lay out a great spread of tasty hors d'oeuvres and 24 hours a day they have baked goods and a refrigerator stocked with beverages to enjoy. And finally, Susan and Raymond are probably the sweetest people you will ever meet in your life! They give hugs and make you feel right at home. They even gave us a very thoughtful giftbag full of goodies to celebrate our hopefully-soon-to-be-new-arrival. We highly recommend the Mission Inn and anxiously await our next visit!

Room Tip: Book well in advance!

From the minute my husband and I arrived we felt so warm and welcomed. Susan made us feel like we were at home. She was absolutely the sweetest woman I have ever met and her home is a treasure. Her husband Raymond is so funny and so outgoing. He too is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. This bed and breakfast by far is the best experience me and my husband could have ever imagined. The hospitality is beyond extraordinary. The staff is amazingly friendly as well. You wake up in the morning open your door to the most delicious smells ever. There are rooms to just relax in if you don't want to feel confined to your own room, she has snacks and hor'dorves throughout the day, drinks to offer , a patio outside to just chill out, bicycles, beach chairs, books and DVDs. The beds are heavenly!!!!! The rooms are beyond super clean. So cozy you won't want to leave. We were there for a weekend because we had a wedding to attend but now we plan to make the mission inn our yearly getaway. We are beyond pleased. The food, the rooms, the entire house, the people by far the best ever. Thank you so much for the relaxation and your hospitality.
Sincerely, Sean and Maria Brown

Room Tip: All the rooms are gorgeous

Believe the hype! It's the #1 Bed and Breakfast at the Bed and Breakfast capitol of New Jersey for a reason. Even on a one night stay, my wife and I were treated like family the second we stepped inside. Susan and Rayond were fantastic, they made us feel like family. That kind of service and friendliness earns customers for a lifetime! The room was spotless and beautiful, it was quiet, the housekeeping crew was great, and the location couldn't be better. We'll be sprinting back to the Mission for more of Susan's homemade Mission Inn cookies.

Room Tip: Saint Francis De Asis was lovely!

Friends from the Midwest joined us for a long weekend stay at the Mission Inn. Last summer, we stopped by for a brief inquiry visit, and were impressed by the owner, Susan, who stopped what she was doing and warmly greeted us and showed us the Inn. Being originally from California we were impressed with how Susan and Ray have created a "mission" experience. When we arrived, Susan, Ray and their staff were gracious and made us feel at home from the moment we walked through the front door. At our request, they made restaurant suggestions and then made reservations. They also helped us find a special Italian restaurant for take-out. When we wanted action, the Mission Inn was a great home base, conveniently located to everything in Cape May. When we wanted to relax, we were welcomed like family to read or work on the wooden puzzle in the solarium.

The food was incredible, starting with tasty afternoon snacks, and topped by wonderful breakfasts. Several of us had special food needs and we were impressed by the creative and appetizing ways that those needs were incorporated into the breakfast meals. The food was great and the presentation was wonderful.

This is the only place we will stay when we are next in Cape May. It will be like returning home.

Room Tip: every room is unique, so decide what features you like best when you make a reservation.

My wife and I and another couple had the pleasure to stay at this wonderful Inn for three days this past week. After reading the reviews, we just had to try this Inn. From the moment I spoke to Susan on the phone to make the reservations, I knew we hit a home run. I did not tell my wife we were staying here, she thought we were staying at the Virginia. When I pulled up her eyes lit up and exclaimed "what a wonderful place to stay",since she is a fan of mission style of architecture and decor. We were greeted warmly Susan the Inn Keeper and from there is was all Five Star. Our room was beautiful, the murals are grand and the amenities in the room leave you wanting for nothing. This Inn has bikes, beech chairs, umbrellas, beach tags, towels etc for your beach enjoyment. The porches and courtyard are wonderful for relaxing. The reading rooms are very comfy and the snacks, treats, beverages, H'orderves are fantastic. The breakfast is a culinary delight, no microwave junk here, fresh locally grown products, and all with healthy eating in mind, fruits, dozens of juices, fresh eggs, on and on. All this is served either outside on the patio or in the dining room. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is you have to try this Inn. This is a wonderful couples get-a-way. The Inn is located on a broad street, N.J. Avenue, and there is plenty of "safe" curbside parking, no jammed lots where your car is dented or scratched. It is only a short stroll to downtown and a real short walk to the beach. This Inn is QUIET, which you do not get downtown or on motel row. This is like your own Estate at the Jersey Shore. We will return!!!

Room Tip: They are all great, we stayed in a large room facing the back courtyard. Large bath and jetted tub.
