“Love, Love, Love This B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 December 2011

My husband and I just got back from a weekend at the Queen Victoria. It is Christmas Season and the Inn was decorated so beautifully!! I can not say enough good things about our stay. First the basics, extremely clean, all of the help were very friendly, food was really good, close to shopping and beach. The Inn Keepers are also the owners and are ever present. They are warm welcoming people who can not do enough for you. They make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. People we met, at breakfast or tea who were also staying at the inn had nothing but praise for the Queen Victoria. Most people have been there many times and continue coming back year after year. Some have shared their experiences at other Inns they stayed at before the Queen Victoria, all have said that none of the other places could compare. I was impressed by this. Rarely do you find everyone on the same page. There is usually one horror story or some problem that someone will bring up. We did not hear one negative thing which solidified our own experience. We loved the Queen Victoria so much we made our reservations for next year before we left!!! (that is something for the couple of procrastinators we are! lol)

Room Tip: Does not seem as though there is a bad room to be had. Everyone we talked to seemed very happy with...

Gorgeous home, great location, friendly staff, & MOST comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Great breakfast and afternoon tea event. They have bicycles you can ride anytime for free- great for a stroll on the beach. The Inn Keepers are very friendly and personable. They create a warm inviting environment. I enjoyed socializing with other guests and really felt at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a relaxing retreat.

I have wanted to visit the Queen Victoria for 7 years, and we are so glad we finally did. Thanks Mom for gift certificates :) This inn is beautiful, relaxing, has great food, and is at a perfect location...in one direction you see the ocean a block away, and the Washington Street Mall about a block or so in the other direction. The high tea looked nice too, and they had an amazing spread of food for the Dickens celebration, but we didn't participate because we were busy walking the streets and shopping. The owners are great...we had several chances to talk with Doug. All of the staff we came in contact with were very friendly. We loved seeing Cape May decorated for Christmas, and the Queen Victoria and their other buildings were beautiful. Coffee, tea, and cold drinks are always available, plus our room had a nice fridge for our leftover dinners. There are bikes and beach chairs available too. Staff showed us around after check-in so it was nice knowing where everything was and how things ran in the room. We were so relaxed and comfortable, and really, I don't know what else we could have asked for. Even before this visit, by recommendation of friends, we have sent friends and family gift certificates for this B&B. I now understand why they enjoyed their visits so much. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: We like the Prince of Wales because there is an ocean view from the bay window/sitting area.

We have made many repeat visits to the Queen Victoria in beautiful Cape May. In fact, this year we were there in July and again in September. The buildings are all very well maintained and each room is tastefully decorated. They even have turn down service with chocolates and fresh towels each evening. We enjoy breakfast on the porch of one of the buildings when the weather permits, but the dining rooms are also lovely. Afternoon tea is always special and a good time to mingle with other guests. The innkeepers, Anna Marie and Doug treat their guests as if they are family and are always happy to spend time chatting with us. I look forward to our visits to Cape May because it is my favorite place in New Jersey, but I especially look forward to going back to the Queen Victoria.

Room Tip: I like a room in the front of one of the buildings because they are bright and I like to look out to...

Best B&B in Cape May, or maybe all of NJ! Beautiful rooms, great food (breakfast & high tea), cordial and friendly staff, and very personable Innkeepers. Convenient location within walking distance of nearly all restaurants and the center-of-town shopping district. We would recommend the QV to anyone.

My wife and I have stayed at quite a few very nice Bed & Breakfast establishments over the years from coast-to-coast. But, despite having stayed in Cape May a number of times, we never stayed here! I can tell you now.....that was a huge mistake! This place is the very best of the very best! If we ever come to Cape May again (we only live 90 miles away), we won't pass this one by!

Room Tip: We liked the room we had, as it had almost solo access to a rooftop balcony that was just beautiful...
