My husband and I stayed at the Queen Victoria for our one-year wedding anniversary. It was the first time we'd ever stayed in a Bed and Breakfast and did not know what to expect, beyond what we had heard about other B&Bs from family and friends. The Queen Victoria far exceeded our expectations! We were blown away by the hospitality of the hosts, Doug and Anna Marie McMain. They were very accessible throughout the day, not only serving breakfast and high noon tea, but also chatting with guests, reccommending sightseeing options and making dinner reservations for all of us. Their service was above and beyond what I have ever experienced while vacationing, and it allowed my husband and I to feel right at home in the Queen Victoria.
We greatly enjoyed our cozy Victorian room and the beautiful decor throughout the three buildings. Breakfast was wonderful, and we made certain to be back at the Queen Victoria each day for the high noon tea, which was also excellent. We enjoyed having 24/7 access to beverages and fruit; it was wonderful to feel so comfortable and to have all of our needs met!
We also appreciated the flexible social climate at the Queen Victoria. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, our intent for the weekend was to be alone. It was wonderful to have the option to sit with other guests at a large breakfast table, or to enjoy each other's company at a table for two.
Thank you, Doug and Anna Marie, for making our first B&B experience so enjoyable. We hope to visit again soon!
Sincerely,
Ann and Joel Pace

We selected The Queen Victoria Bed & Breakfast to celebrate my 50th Birthday! We stayed in the Queen's Cottage in the Osbourne Suite. Beautifully appointed, charming and elegant.
The queen size bed unbelievably comfortable! The breakfast served would have made Gourmet Magazine proud. The owners of these gorgeous properties are so warm and wonderful. Full of suggestions and extremely helpful. We plan another visit in the fall to bring my parents to this "step back into time" location.
Thank you so much for making my 50th truly special.

We just returned from a quiet, peaceful and luxurious weekend in Cape May, New Jersey. We stayed at the Queen Victoria Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in a beautiful, private suite. The breakfast that the Innkeepers, Doug and Anna Marie served were spectacular.
The Inn is located right in Quiet Cape May with many dining choices in walking distance. The Innkeepers were happy to make our reservations and help with any entertainment suggestions. After noon tea was a great time to talk to other guests about things to do and places to see. The snacks were a delicious treat. I cannot wait to go back!!

My wife and I returned to The Queen Victoria for our 8th stay last week (March 21-25). Returning to The Queen after over a year's absence was just like visiting old friends again; indeed, we are pleased to consider the innkeepers as such. We were greeted with the usual warmth and hospitality that has made The Queen Victoria legendary in B&B circles. Doug and Anna Marie McMain and their excellent staff availed themselves to our needs the five days and four nights of our visit, and at no time were there any problems. The food and teas were up to their usual high standards; in fact, the addition of a pastry chef added new treats to the afternoon tea to which we have always looked forward. On our second afternoon, Doug was kind enough to take me and several guests on a guided tour of all four buildings which make up The Queen Victoria. Since my wife and I try to book our favorite room whenever possible, it was a treat to see rooms we normally would not have. As I've mentioned in an earlier review, what makes The Queen so special is their meticulous service and hospitality. I recommend The Queen Victoria to any and all seeking an elegant-yet-unpretentious lodging in Victorian Cape May.

There is only one word to describe our recent stay
at the Queen Victoria-FANTASTIC!
We loved their hospitality so much that we've already booked another stay at Christmas time and can't wait. Everything was excellent from the food to our accomodations but our hosts were the crowning touch as they made everything perfect for our stay. They made us feel so welcome as if we were family. They are truly the hosts with the most est.
Our stay was so wonderful and relaxing. So for a fantastic time , hurry and book a stay at the absolutely fabulous Queen Victoria!

My wife and I recently had the extreme pleasure of staying at the Queen Victoria B & B. Everything about the inn exceeded expectations. This was our first time staying in Cape May and the inn owners, Anna Marie and Doug, made us feel like we were part of a family and not just guests. The room was immaculate, the staff were courteous and saw to any need. The breakfasts were more like a gourmet meal, not just scrambled eggs and cereals. The inn's location is perfect. It is within walking distance of some very fine and quaint restaurants, the mall is only two blocks away, and the promenade is just down the street. I would highly recommend the Queen Victoria to anyone wishing to spend an enjoyable time in Cape May. We will be making this inn our home away from home.

If you want to get away on your own to regroup and re-energize, I recommend the Queen Victoria Bed and Breakfast in Cape May, NJ.
The inn is immaculately clean, not a dust bunny to be found, anywhere. Upon entering one's room, you can actually smell how clean and fresh it is. This is because the innkeepers, Doug and Anne Marie, and their staff, are thorough, and hard-working. No detail has been overlooked in cleanliness and comfort.
The innkeepers and staff at the Queen Victoria are energetic, genuinely friendly, inobtrusive, and hospitable. These qualities are contagious, as you will find when having breakfast or tea with people you never met before, and it is totally enjoyable and relaxing.
The quiet elegance of the inn is unpretentious, and cozy. It is like returning to calm civility after a long tour in the chaotic world.
The Queen Victoria Bed and Breakfast is only one block from the beach and ocean, a block or two from great restaurants, and fun shopping.
When you peruse the Queen Victoria website, you will be impressed by their honest descriptions of the beautiful rooms, and what kind of view to expect from each. One senses integrity and excellence as driving forces at the Queen Victoria. There are no unpleasant surprises.
There are bicycles available to all guests, included in the price of the stay, as well as beach chairs for a day of chasing waves and building sand castles.
The breakfasts served at the Queen Victoria are more than substantial, gratifying, with an astounding array of choices.
I highly recomend the Queen Victoria Bed and Breakfast, in Cape May, NJ, not only to couples, but also to those who want to get away on their own to re-charge and renew their spirits ,as well as sisters or best friends on a holiday.
You must go! You won't be disappointed.
