The Heritage Inn is our 1st choice. We feel like family each time we visit (and that's usually 2-3 times per season)! Clean, convenient and we walk to great restaurants, clean pristine beaches and all the fabulous shopping. All the while enjoying the Victorian architecture along the way. We are 60 and 61 years young and don't mind the steps at all (no elevator) but if you can do it, worth every step. And on top of the hotel is a lovely open deck and new lounge chairs to see the view of the ocean for miles. So relaxing. And their pool is great for families. Each and every time we stay we've had no complaints of riff raff or disturbances. Gwen goes out of her way to make us feel welcome. Convention Hall is right across the street as is the boardwalk and beach access. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Heritage Inn where you are treated like a friend and your visit will be that much better. Thanks Gwen, we'll be back soon.

Room Tip: We've stayed on every level and they're all good rooms.

I appreciate your going over our property with a fine tooth comb and have addressed all your issues. Again thank you. I just wish you had mentioned the painting crew that was here working during your stay and that you could see the finished product. I do hope you come visit again, ask for me, and I am positive you will enjoy your stay just as much as the many other guests we have at the Heritage. Please read their reivews and you will be assured that the Heritage is indeed a terrific place to visit.

...you will find The Heritage Inn. A hybrid blue victorian with white trim, The Heritage Inn is a place for younger to middle age patrons (as there is only stair access besides ground) to let their hair down and enjoy cape may. Each room has all the necessary comforts-refrigerator included-to enjoy your stay. Gwen will greet you at the front desk and her sons will assist you at night. A great sun deck (the hidden secret) overlooks the beach and promenade. Don't come for the pool however it is clean, just smaller, perfect and safe for small children. Overall The Heritage Inn is a place you come back to each year, ask for room number by name, and they will remember yours as well. No complaints about anything, A/C is amazing for a hotel, outdoor access, and everything is walking distance. Check it out for yourself when your at exit 0.

Room Tip: Third floor has access to sun-deck...noone uses it...

Gwen was very helpful juggling rooms to accommodate us. Very friendly and you can't beat the location! Our car is smaller so they let us have a parking spot out front the whole time. We had a really nice visit!

My husband and I stayed on the top floor of the inn and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mark, the grandson helped us check in and Barbara who bought the place 45+ years ago is a lovely woman. They have a dog Leila rescued by the ASPCA and she makes my niece laugh. When we checked in, my niece got sick and threw up in the small lobby! It was a traffic ride from NYC and she wasn't feeling well. We were mortified. Mark gave us paper towels and assured us it was ok. He also got us some cleaner and we cleaned it right up. Our room on the third floor was bright and sunny. It was also "newer" since the third floor was added (we learned this since we liked knowing about the history of where we stay in cape may). The bottom floor where my sister's family stayed was ok with older beds, but it's always cleaned every day. We liked having a wraparound balcony on the third floor where my husband and I stayed with a king bed and there is access to the roof where you can sit back and relax and enjoy the sunset. The pool is small, but at least the place has a pool and it's clean. We're in Cape May so being close to the water and sea salt gets in the fences so there's rust. At least the pool is clean so whomever is complaining just needs to remember rusts builds quickly. There's no elevator so you can unload in their loading area then park in their lot on the other side of the block. You walk through between Heritage Inn and Hotel Macomber to get to the parking area. The inn is close to the boardwalk and the beach with several places to eat walking distance. Also walking distance to shopping area and restaurants. Great place to stay. Also wanted to say the person that cleans our room was Emma and she was very nice and even said she didn't want to touch the bed since my laptop was on top and she didn't want to move it without permission. Very respectful. The beach is private so it's $6 per person to get on the beach. This is great since it keeps the beach less crowded and loud. Breakfast we would walk to Uncle Bill's Pancake House, YB, or Zoe's. Last year we stayed at the Inn at Cape May and they have a restaurant and a bar. Wished there was a bar at the Heritage Inn but at least we can walk to other places. Heritage Inn has central AC and the Inn at Cape May had barely working AC with older rooms. Charming but we were definitely more comfortable and happy sleeping at the Heritage Inn.

The Heritage Inn is in a great location, you can walk everywhere. There are good restaurants nearby. It is a very clean hotel and the staff is friendly. Every thing we needed in a room was there, including extra towels. I have stayed at several places in Cape May and plan to stay at the Heritage Inn whenever I return to Cape May.
