I booked a room for my fiancé at the Feather's Nest Inn for Valentine's Day and the theme room I chose was the Manhatten Room. When we first arrived to the hotel, it wasn't something that I expected. The lobby had an old smell to it and check-in was surrounded by plexiglas. So I'm thinking "hmm...okay." So we continued to checked in, recieved our keys and drove around to the room. As we entered the room, first, it wasn't the Manhatten Room that I requested. Secondly, the room looked clean but it smelled like mothballs and the furniture needed major updating. The TV was old no iron and board, the mini fridge was under the sink. This was truly something from the 70-80's era. This room was a total let down and not worth the price. So we decided to turn around, get our money back and went to the Residence Inn further down the road.

Stayed in the Blue Lagoon for an early afternoon reality break. Pulled the shade down and felt like I was a million miles away! Loved all of the detail in the room. Where else can you have a huge bed with tree branches as a headboard, big jacuzzi in a Tiki hut, big shower with seats on either end, and a fireplace in one room. Based on some reviews, I brought candles, etc. just in case it smelled, but didn't need them to cover anything up. Okay, I noticed that the carpets were a little worn--for a second. Dim the lights and if you're with the right person..you shouldn't be noticing that little stuff anyway! It was hard to motivate ourselves to leave, but have now we something to look forward too.

My name is Leslie Rivera, my husband Daniel Rivera and I love staying at the feather nest in.. Love the rooms and also the staff.. They are very friendly.. If I could stay there everyday I would...Our last visit there was on February 14th room 215..

We got here on 2/17/12 and we stayed in the dessert tent the first night instead of me going on and on ill just give a pros and cons list

PRO'S CON'S
nice size room room smelled a lil like smoke
private entrances jacuzzi was very slippery
mirrors in all the right spots lights was ultra dim and no option for brighter lights
nice size bathroom no sockets to plug your charger or anything into
comp champagne no iron board/no iron
nice layout no microwave
quick check in
free porn (for those who watch it)
extra comfy bed
SO OVERALL I WOULD RATE THIS ROOM A 3 OUT OF 5

Now for night two......we stayed in the Tahitian hut
this room had nothing but CON'S

CON'S
room reeked of cigarette/weed smoke
looked like a total down grade
bathroom fan was beyond noisy
the set up was horrible
everything looked very outdated/worn out

When we got into the room we decided that maybe if we burned some oils that it would clear up a little so we did so and went out for the day. When we got back later that evening the smell was still there so heavily so we called the front desk to let them know that we was unhappy with the room especially because of the room smoke we was told that they had fabreeze to fix it, which was totally unacceptable. when we asked to be placed into another room we was told that they didnt have anything else even though the room we was previously in was still empty @ 7p.m. So I told them that it was still unacceptable and she told me that i have had the room the whole day so whats the problem now? Either way I let her know that that was not an acceptable response and then she told me that if we didnt touch or use anything that we can get a refund and leave. They had "Pablo" the maintenance man come to inspect the room and he calls the front lobby and tells them that he doesnt smell anything but if we wanna leave and our money back then fine. WHAT LIKE OMFG R U SERIOUS????? needless to say we got our refund (mind you which takes 2-3 business days to get back) and checked into the Aloft hotel (which i love to pieces) within ten mins of us leaving this DUMP and now writing this review at with clean air. All and all this IS NOT A PLACE TO TAKE YOUR SWEETHEART TOO. IT IS MORE LIKE A "HIT AND SPLIT, GET YOUR FREAK ON, NO COMMITMENT" TYPE OF ROOM, VERY GHETTO!!!. NEVER WOULD GO BACK HERE AGAIN!!!! oh and btw if your not from the area good luck on trying to find it ughhh....

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had the pleasure of staying in the fantasy room "Blue Lagoon". I'm not gonna lie, all of the negative reviews on this site had me REALLY worried!!! Even the cab driver dropping us off said to call him back if we needed to change hotels, OK I was really nervous!! I was scared I would open the door to a dead hooker on the floor... I straight up asked the lady at the front desk if they would offer a refund if we were unsatisfied, and it turns out we didn't even need to question that! When we walked in I was just amazed at the decorations, Toucan Sam on the "branches" and the inviting and CLEAN jacuzzi tub!! Everything was as clean as a hotel can be, and trust me I inspected everything!! My boyfriend smokes so he was glad that they let you smoke in the room. I'm a non smoker and it didn't bother me too much as there were plenty of ceiling fans and I brought plenty of candles to kill the smell. If you're a non smoker and so bothered by cigarette smells from the people staying in before you, I suggest to bring Febreze or candles or just deal with it... The TV was nice! There were plenty of stations, really weird porn, but thankfully there were normal movies to watch.

This was one of the best "getaways" my boyfriend and I have had in the past 2 years we've been together- so totally don't worry if you and a loved one want to spice it up with a stay here! I just suggest you fork out the extra $ to get a themed room. The standard rooms weren't anything special, and since they're cheaper more dirty people have probably stayed there in the past. If you're up tight and too high class for this, go to the Radisson. You'll get a lamer themed room for a way higher price.

Even though we're from NYC with no car, we found it very easy to get around. We called up Best Taxi and had our dinner at the Capital Grille which was located 5 minutes away at the Cherry Hill Mall. Plenty of food options in walking distance as well! Steak 38 is right next door, but unfortunately it was closed on Monday night.

Also, don't complain about free breakfast!! I thought the continental breakfast was cute, with little tables to sit at where it was offered. Donuts, cereal, juice, milk, and yogurt. If you want eggs and bacon go pay for that somewhere else! They gave us free champagne in the room, but also not the best. I suggest bringing your own if you can, but I thought it was very nice!

I just wish the sound effects weren't broken in our room, but we're definitely coming back in the summer to try a different "fantasy"!

Room Tip: We stayed in 319, in the very back of the hotel on the very end. So we didn't have any noise to...

my husband and i booked a room to stay over night just to get away from the ususal and as soones we walked in the smell of cigarette was horrible we even found hair in the whirlpool oh nooooo thak god i had a can of lysol we didnt even stayed over night we stayed for 3 hours i could not lay in the smelly bed it was terrible when we got home all of our clothes had the smell had to wash everything and shower immediately ,,,,, we should of known a ssoonest we went to register in the girl in the front desk looks and speaks very very ghetto no class at all ......

myself and my husband checked in for only 4 hours... it was by far the best 4 hours we had spent together in about 9 years with busy lives and kids sometimes u just need to get away for a few hours.. we stayed in one of the fantasy sweets very nice and clean would definetly go back soon....
