This park is kind of between Laurel run and Rancocas Creek. They are still working on improvements in this park and for now it is a lot of empty space great for bird-watching. But it is already a worthy destination due to covered picnic area with pavilion and charcoal grills. The parking is free and portable bathroom is available. It will be a nice place soon. They are planning hiking trails here.
Laurel Run Park is the newest park in Burlington County. It has one mile of trails. Most of the trail is through the fields of what was a former farm. On the hot summer days, there would be absolutely NO shade until the water's edge at the Rancocas Creek, where there are some great views and the opportunity to go fishing.
When we arrived,a Cub Scout group was having some sort of Easter egg hunt and program in a nice sheltered pavilion area with tables. At present, there is only one portable restroom on site.
Laurel Run was our last stop one Sunday afternoon, the third of three Burlington County parks that we visited that day to do some walking and catch some glimpses of the Rancocas Creek.
