My boyfriend and I stopped in on a rainy day on a business trip, the place is so cute inside the staff is super friendly, especially Cliff! We didn't realize that there were different type of beignets until we visited here. Our plan was to get a beignet and an expresso but I am so a bacon lover and decided on the bacon caramel glazed donut...yes I said bacon!!!
We were shocked at what happened next, the guy behind the counter starts making the donut from scratch, bakes it in front of us and puts the glaze and bacon, talk about hot fresh goodness and bacon was involved :-D Cliff chatted with us a bit and was curious why we didn't go with the beignet, we explained we are used to the NOLA ones and he came right over and gave us a free beignet to try and see what the difference was. This has never happened to us, wow we are glad we had the chance to try this type of beignet, it was so good.
Thanks Cliff we will for sure be back soon to visit. You have a great place, location is wonderful and your personality is superb, you are what every owner I wish was in a cafe!!!
