Stayed here for a couple of nights for some games over at MetLife. First, if you have never stayed at an Extended Stay, they are all very similar. They are mostly used by those who are staying for longer periods, and hence they are not typical full-service hotels. You will not get maid service every day, this should not be a problem unless you are a slob. However, they now show up on Hotwire and Priceline and guests who are expecting something along the lines of a Holiday Inn will be disappointed.
The hotel is not at all rundown as mentioned in another review, but yes, the front desk is not attended at all times. Still, I arrived early on a Sunday and was granted an early check-in, something few hotels do, a big plus for me. Every room has a full-size fridge and microwave, so I was able to eat there, a nice change when on the road and moving from hotel to hotel.
Do not stay here if you want to visit NYC. This is a good hotel for going to MetLife Stadium, the Sheraton next door has a shuttle for $5 each way to both Jets and Giants games, but getting to and from NYC on transit is not worth the savings.More
