“Yummy Ramen!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2013

Awesome Ramen...just be prepared to wait. There is always a line. It is also Cash Only, so keep that in mind. Luckily there is an ATM as it's in the Matsuwa food court. The broth is clean and light tasting....the Pork is amazing...the noodles are delish. Love this place. Super convenient for when I'm shopping at Matsuwa.

“Wasted money”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2012 via mobile

The base broth is actually not bad, but the overall taste is terrible. I was hoping in a roasted pork flavor, instead a taste of putrid pork and a slab of nasty fatty boiled bacon
Just wrong!!!!

“It's part of a food court, but it's great!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2012

My group was craving ramen because it was a cold & rainy day, so we decided to go to Mitsuwa Marketplace. If you go there on a weekend, you will notice a long line for this one stall & that's for Santoka. We had their tokusen toroniku ramen (my fave), miso ramen & shio ramen set that came with umeboshi, soy egg & pork over rice. Their ramen came with bamboo shoots, naruto, chashu & mushrooms. The noodles were nice & chewy, their broth was rich & delicious, and the chashu melted in my mouth. Definitely hit the spot.

“Awesome ramen for foodcourt fare”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2011

I love the spicy miso ramen. The miso flavor is very evident and makes the broth savory. The chunks of chashu top off a great bowl of noodles. A little salty, but what more do you want from a foodcourt? The great panoramic views of Manhattan are bonus.

“NY/NJ Tonkontu (pork-bone broth) ramen lovers, look no further!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2010

The long weekend lunch line testifies to the excellence of this melty-pork slice ramen with thick broth. The sets are a great deal, for they come with a substantial rice side topped with 4 options (we had salmon roe). For those not wanting to wait an hour at East Village's Ippudo, consider a 30 min shuttle ride to Mitsuwa Marketplace, Edgewater, NJ for an equivalent meal. If Ippudo's the best ramen in NYC/Manhattan, then this may very well be the best on the eastern seaboard
