Our flight was cancelled and we were stranded for two additional nights in Newark. I found the Country Inn while searching for other options. Since it was close to Jersey Gardens Mall, and we didn't have a car, this location would give us something to do.

The front desk staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff was nice. The room looked a little worn but adequate. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was quite large. Even though it was near the elevators and ice machine, we should've stayed with our first option of the one bedroom suite. The complimentary breakfast was decent, and there was a waffle maker and some hot items offered. I just went down for coffee and some mini donuts and muffins. However, it can get pretty chaotic when a lot of people are there.

The shuttle picks you up at the P4 parking structure, but it drops you off at your airline terminal, which was a very nice service. Again, if you are stranded for two or more days, this is a good option. I probably won't be back since I've learned to schedule my connecting flights closer to California, and way south of the Polar Vortex, especially during the winter holidays.

Our visit was for one night prior to an international flight. It included a king room, breakfast, parking for 10 days and transfers to and from Newark Airport at a very reasonable rate. The room was clean and quite, the front desk personnel (especially Eddie) professional and knowledgeable, especially when we needed to make an emergency dentist appointment, and again upon our return to heavy snow. Our auto was easily retrieved from the lot, the drivers were professional and everyone went out of their way to be helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel several times the past year, and will give a review based on all of them combined.

The hotel is conveniently located just across the street from the Jersey Garden mall which makes an airport hotel overnight stay a little more pleasant than just sitting in your room waiting for your flight the next day.

The shuttle departs the P4 Newark AirTrain station :15 and :45 every hour, and returns to the airport terminals from the hotel :00 and :30 every hour.

Though a little worn, the hotel is in fair condition. Service has been average, and I haven't always been recognized as a Club Carlson Elite tier member. I have stayed in both a king jacuzzi suite and queen suite. Both were spacious and offered a sitting group in addition to the beds.

I only had breakfast once, and it was mediocre to say the least. Maybe I'm spoiled with good hotel breakfasts in Norway? Oatmeal, fruit, bagels, toasts. Coffee, milk and juices. Enough to get the day started, but nothing more than that really.

Service was good.

This hotel is used as a crew hotel for several of the regional airlines operating out of EWR, so be sure you get to the shuttle early, as some of the departures fill up quickly.

Room Tip: Being an aviation geek (avgeek) I always ask for a room facing the airport. Gives some pretty amazing views of the take offs if they're using RWY22LR.

Can;t recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking for a place to stay and leave your car before leaving on a cruise. The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was good and plentiful. I was very impressed with the hotel staff, who couldn;t have been more helpfull. The shuttle to and from the cruise terminal was truly painless - the shuttle was waiting to bring us back to the hotel as soon as we got off the cruise ship!

Would definately stay here again

This hotel is less than 10 minutes from Newark Airport. The staff is great, the rooms though a bit
dated are comfy and well maintained. No charge for parking and there is a bus from the hotel
to the airport. One of the largest outlet malls in the world is on the next block. Breakfast is good
and also free. If you join their club you can quickly accumulate free nights.

Room Tip: Just ask at the desk. Rooms with good facilities for those who have physical challenges are also available.
