My wife and I, with our two teenage daughters and small dog, stayed here for three nights over Thanksgiving (family lives nearby). What a treat! Element is a Westin brand hotel, very hip with a "green" image. We loved the sleek design, with a Danish modern or Scandinavian feel. Lots of natural light in the rooms and lobby too. Our room on the first floor had a very high ceiling, probably 20', a unique feature which made the room seem very large. The HVAC was a bit loud and blew air directly across the beds, which was the only negative (we turned it off when we slept). Excellent fitness center and breakfast. Friendly staff. Lots of space and paths in the surrounding corporate offices to jog with the dog (and a dog bed and bowls in the room). Very quiet, safe location. Parking was just outside the room, easy access to a card controlled hall door. Electric vehicle charging station in the lot and preferred parking for hybrids! Located 2 minutes from I-295, Princeton is 15 minutes away. The Element in Ewing/Hopewell is a hit with us, and is highly recommended.

I stayed here a few nights while traveling alone on business. Everything is very nature friendly, with recycling bins in the rooms, all natural shampoo/conditioner and body wash, and a toilet with 2 different flush settings. There's also a water purifier tap on the sink, eco-friendly dish soap, and energy efficient lights. The towels are not the softest in the world, because they are made of some special fabric, though they are the most absorbent towel I've ever used. They even have four bikes available to borrow (for free) if you'd like to go for a bike ride. Gym was nice, pretty large for a hotel and the rooms were very large and impeccably clean. The pillows were very comfortable, and the decor was soothing. The complimentary breakfast was decent, not a lot of options for a picky eater. Internet was fast, staff was helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is that the TV kept changing channels on me from the show I had on to the hotel channel. It happened irregularly but at least 10 times!

We were visiting our son at The College of New Jersey, which is about three miles from the hotel. My husband and I reserved a King Studio room and were impressed by the size and features in the room. There is a kitchenette against one wall with a stovetop, refrigerator, sink, coffeemaker and cabinets with dishes. The bathroom was roomy with a modern basin sink, huge glass door shower and built-in shampoo and body wash dispensers, which were a nice touch. In addition to the comfy king size bed, there was an L-shaped couch for hanging out, and a desk with chargers for your phone, I-pod, etc. For about $140. a night, we were impressed with the room's excellent use of space and comfort. The room and hotel seemed quiet, which was great. In the morning there was a breakfast buffet in the lobby which featured healthy choices like yogurt, breakfast wrap sandwiches, mini muffins and cereal. Nearby were computer stations so we could check our email. The lobby area is open and airy, with lots of windows and modern decor (very Ikea-like). We didn't use the gym but it looked nice, and the indoor pool was small but seemed like a fun spot--there was an attached hot tub, too. All in all it was a relaxing stay, everything was spotlessly clean throughout, and for us it was an ideal location. The only very tiny complaints I have are that the room's decor was a little dreary, a lot of gray and brown made it feel kind of drab, but some people might like that color scheme. I did request a robe, only because Westin hotels normally supply these, but they didn't have any. Again, not a big deal but it would have been nice for lounging. I would recommend this hotel and I like their whole eco-friendly approach to things.

The Element is a new and well designed hotel from Starwood. All the rooms are spacious studios with kitchenettes, desks and seating areas in addition to the expected bed and bathroom. The kitchen seemed well equipped for those wishing to cook basic meals - even including a sponge and dish liquid. The bed was very comfortable.

The hotel has a trendy and green design with touches beyond the usual towel reuse such as in-room recycling, a variable flush toilet and larger sizes of toiletries mounted in the shower.

There is a nightly happy hour with free wine and light appetizers - not stellar quality if you're a wine snob, but a nice touch and free.

Things to know that may or may not matter depending on your needs: 1) there is no restaurant on site. You can travel to or order in from local restaurants, but it's a bit less convenient. 2) there are no publicly accessible ice machines. There is an ice maker in each room's freezer, but it is empty on arrival and takes time to fill up. They will bring you ice if needed, but it's less convenient than self-serve if you need ice in any quantity.

A couple of us were going on a trip to Princeton and NYC. There were some technical difficulties with the room. However, the front desk was helpful enough to help us change rooms during the night. Overall, the hotel stay was wonderful. The rooms are clean and that was a very important factor in our decision to stay at the Element Ewing. The beds have white sheets and there was not a single spot on them. Free breakfast was a nice plus. At the end of our stay, we were comped for our first night with technical difficulties. This was a nice gesture and we definitely recommend the Element for the impeccable attention to detail and customer service!

The purpose of our stay was to go to Sesame Place with our two young children. The hotel is amazingly clean (most important, in my opinion) and our room was so spacious. Loved that there was flooring rather than carpeting throughout the room (didn't have to worry about the kids sitting on the floor) and the flat screen tv was great, with plenty of channels. There is also a DVD player which our kids loved. The kitchen is a great perk with a sink, dishwasher, microwave and full-size refrigerator with freezer. In addition to the tasty free breakfast, we were surprised and thrilled by the free quesedillas, beer and wine in the evening. The pool was great and the jacuzzi was even better. Would definitely stay here again (my son actually wanted to move in).
