Besides the funky smelling air freshener they used in the room my overall experience was not bad. Yes, the room I stayed in (room 6) was a bit aged and needs upgrading, it was not bad for the price. It was reasonably clean. Considering other places was charging double or more, this place was a good value. Wi-Fi was working with no problems. The good news is it also looked like they’re doing renovations to the place, they had new building materials stacked up in the parking lot and it appeared they had workers doing work in the other room. The restaurant next door (Alfonson’s 202) is awesome! This restaurant has nothing to do with the hotel. I’ve been to the original one in Bridgewater, NJ several times. They have really good Italian food. Tried the fried calamari here and the “mussels el diablo” (I think that’s what it was called) I think they did it better than the original place in Bridgewater, although I think the original place did pizza better.
We stayed here for 1 night, for Diamond Nation baseball tournament in June 2014. I would stay here again, but I would go for the renovated rooms.
If the owner is reading this, please stop using that smelly air freshener! Use something that smells better.More
