Main Street Manor Bed & Breakfast Inn
Ranked #1 of 1 Flemington B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 1 August 2007

We recently visited the Main Street Manor Bed & Breakfast in Flemington, NJ which is a wonderful Victorian home with "innkeepers", Donna & Ken Arold to welcome you. A very warm, charming environment, beautifully decorated and serving you a deliteful breakfast before you go on to your next journey. Your hostess also makes a point of learning any dietary restrictions you might have and serves you accordingly.

Our room was aptly decorated, had fresh flowers and to our surprise, our bed was the best!! We both agreed we had a great night's sleep.

This B&B is definitely charming and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a warm welcoming couple and a Victorian environment. Just deliteful!!

Main Street Manor was a great place for a girlfriends' reunion. Three of us were able to stay in one room, the Bay Laurel, with its own private porch and bath. The whole house is gorgeous and we were able to also use the common rooms as well. Donna thought of everything! She offered cold ice tea upon arrival with a slice of blueberry cake and peanut butter cookies, which were left out for guests. They also offered wine and cordials in the parlor at no extra expense. Donna was able to give us directions and recommendations, all of which were extremely helpful. We tried two of her suggestions for dinner, within walking distance and both were excellent! We did get to see the other rooms available, they are all very delightfully decorated, each with its own private bath.
I would highly recommend this place and will be absolutely telling friends and family to go visit.
We walked through Flemington and also drove to nearby Lambertville, NJ and New Hope, PA. If we'd had more time, we probably would have gone to Frenchtown also.........there is more than enough to keep you busy with shopping, wonderful architecture and history in spades.
Street noise was nonexistent, something we had worried about. The beds were very comfy and anything we needed, not already there, was immediately provided. Breakfasts were so substantial and yummy that we didn't even need a lunch, so if you are budget conscious, that is a help.
I rate this B & B 10 stars!!!!!

July 20, 2007 - I just returned from a stay at the Main Street Manor with my 2 friends for a girlfriends' getaway. We do this once a year and this is by far the best B & B we've stayed in yet! The accommodations were excellent and the innkeeper, Donna, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. This Victorian house is spacious, extremely clean, and beautifully decorated. When we arrived for check-in, Donna greeted us warmly and we immediately felt welcomed and at home. She gave us a tour of the house and explained all that was available to us. She also offered information on restaurants, shops, nearby towns, etc. We stayed in the English Rose room as it is the largest with a queen bed and daybed. It also has a very roomy bathroom and private porch. After we settled in, we went downstairs where Donna had waiting for us iced tea and other beverages, homemade blueberry cake, and peanut butter cookies. She was eager to help us find a restaurant we would like within walking distance and called ahead to make our reservations. The breakfast each morning was delicious and included coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, fresh blueberry spread, frittata, corn muffins, French toast, and bacon. After a day of exploring the nearby towns, we returned to find cool beverages and homemade lemon pound cake. Delicious! Donna helped to make our visit very enjoyable. We felt pampered and hated to go back to reality! We would definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for a place with beautiful surroundings, great food, comfort, and wonderful hospitality!

Flemington is a destination gem. Great restaurants, gorgeous Victorian homes in polychrome paints, and plants, plants, plants everywhere. There must be some kind of competition to see who can decorate their yard the best. Antiques. Fine dining. And just a few miles to all the various sights along the Delaware - New Hope, Lambertville, Frenchtown, etc. And don't forget the annual balloon festival! We discovered it this past weekend when we booked a stay at the Main Street Manor. (They were willing to take us for one night while the New Hope place we had planned to stay at - would only take us for two nights.)

We stay at b&b's because each offers a new experience. Donna and Ken certainly define "service" because everything we could think of was provided for us - along with all the top-of-the line fresh fruits and baking you expect from the very best b&b's - except they didn't charge us "top of the line" prices! I could go on and on, but you get the point. Gorgeous yard (Donna is a flower fan with an exceptional array of flowers outside and inside). If you're in the area, don't miss this great place.

You will love it here! My husband and I booked this place last minute Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I called the Inn, Donna (the innkeeper) was very helpful and NICE! The location is perfect - very quiet and only 10 minutes from New Hope and Lambertville. Trust me - you will be happy you stayed here rather than "in town." You avoid the traffic and noise. Main Street Manor is S P O T L E S S! Coming from a "Clorox freak" this is an honor. Donna's recommendations for a massage and dinner were right on. Her breakfast is to die for! I can't say enough good things about the Inn and the innkeepers. Check it out - you will not have any regrets.

This is the most charming Bed & Breakfast you should experience. The owners Donna & Kenny are the perfect hosts. They have that special touch and know just how to make you feel right at home. The common area is magnificent as well as the old world charm each guest room has to offer. The Labrador Violet is our favorite room, but eventually we would like to experience each one. The attention to detail is what sets this Inn apart from the rest. From the moment you arrive until the time you are saddened to leave it is truly lovely... Just a couple of blocks from the Inn is the quaint center of town that offers outlet shopping as well as very good places to dine. We have dined at Orvietto's, Matt's Red Rooster and El Mulino and all were very good. We would look forward to returm to each one. I should also mentionThe breakfasts at the Main Street Manor are yummy!! Waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee and the homemade breakfast that is made from scratch is alone worth the expericence of visiting the Main Street Manor.
