The site that we had was supposed to be a pull-thru, but we had to back out because of a tree that made it impossible to get our 35ft. trailer out of. It was not cleaned when we arrived, glass, cigarette butts and garbage. The area was not level. The owner came banging on our door in the morning because our truck was parked to close to the next site. She made sure she stated that she was the OWNER and was rude. As we were struggling to get out of the site, the OWNER drove up and my husband stated that this is supposed to be a pull-thru site. She rolled her eyes, rolled up her window and drove off. Really? This is the owner of a business and we were customers. She should not be working with the public.

We loved this campground and the accessibility to Six Flags. Our only complaint was that the pool closed around 6 most evenings, by the time we got back to camp we could not jump in and cool off. The sites were huge, clean and well shaded. The bathrooms were also very well tended and showers were clean. It was quiet, comfortable and very relaxing!

I had four cans on the ground directly in front of my tent and the blond haired lady from the front desk comes up to our site at 8 30 in the morning while I was sleeping and my husband was getting up to go to the bathroom and she woke me up while rudely telling my husband that our site was disgusting and that she had driven by the morning before and it was a pig pen that day too but we had not been here the day before. So we went back up to the office to tell her that we did not appreciate her being rude and waking up and she said that she was the owner and our site was disgusting and we told her that we would not come back here since we come once or twice a year and she was like " please do me the favor and don't come back" I was shocked that an owner of a business would handle anything the way she did. I really liked this campground before that situation was handled so poorly. The appropriate thing to say to us as management is please make sure these cans get picked up before you leave the site. Wouldn't you think. Not to mention that my mothers site was not even clean when we got there. Not very pleased.

We spent a week at Pine Cone in a motorhome with slide-outs. Overall this is a quiet, pleasant campground. We’ve stayed there before, and we would stay there again.

The pros are: (1) very generous back-in site with plenty of width for the slide-outs and more than enough length to park the car in front of the coach; (2) although the roads within the campground aren't paved, they are level and smooth; (3) we didn't use the on-site amenities, but the pool appeared clean and well-maintained; (4) free cable; (5) many of the sites are well-shaded with large trees and (6) campground location and access are reasonably convenient, i.e., less than two miles from a large highway.

The cons—and these probably wouldn’t be a concern for everyone—are: (1) no wifi at our site; (2) cellular phone signal (Sprint) was too low to make calls from inside the coach, but we could text; (3) we travel with a cellular modem for Internet (Verizon), but the signal was marginal; (4) no trash pick-up on site, but it’s easy to drop off your trash on the way out of the campground; and (5) the on-site laundry is very expensive. The dryers cost three times as much as the local Laundromat we used instead.
