“Oh my, what a burger!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

Ok so it was a little pricey, consider your paying 25% more for the name, so figure instead of $22 for 2 burgers, fries, onion rings (to die for) and 2 drinks, its like $16 and a little fame thrown in. Ask me if it was worth it? I would go back in a heart beat, the food was that good, period, if you love hamburgers like Wimpey, this is the place for you. The Burgers are great cooked to perfection, fries are good, and hot, not spectacular, but the onion rings, old fashion goodness, you might find as good but none better. Service was a little shoddy, not that anyone was rude but my drink cup was forgotten, not much of a greeting, no good bye, no how was your food, just no courtesy that you might expect. The establishment was almost clean except the table next to ours, so what do the servers do, sweep the floor while we are eating! We kind of huddled over our food and finished, we would normally walked out but the food was that food. I know it is difficult to find good help but normal customer service is expected at these prices.

“Not quite as good as other BBP locations”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

We are HUGE BBP lovers. We visit our Connecticut BBP location quite often, even though it's 150 mile round trip for us to do so. The management, staff, and food there are outstanding. We've also been to BBP Eatontown and loved it there as well.

We do a Six Flags Great Adventure trip almost every year and stay in Freehold. We were thrilled when this BBP location opened this year as it's close to the hotel we stay at every Six Flags trip. We visited on Thursday 8/22 at around 4:30 pm. The restaurant was pretty close to empty and quiet at that time, but it was very early for dinner. There were three of us, two adults, one teenager. We've each been to a BBP many, many times.

We were disappointed this location (like all the NJ locations) had no spiked milkshakes. However, that is due to the state of New Jersey and not any fault of the restaurant. We ordered a Crunch Burger with bacon medium, a Dallas Burger medium rare,a Santa Fe Burger medium rare, two regular fries, a sweet potato fries, and three different flavored milk shakes. Our milkshakes came out a few minutes after we sat. We noticed our food was sitting there ready and the servers were too busy talking to each other to notice, so our order sat there for a few minutes. It was nowhere close to busy at this time or at any time we were there, so there was no excuse why our order sat there without being served right away.

We were served our food and all orders were correct. After getting into my medium rare Dallas burger, which I have ordered and eaten literally dozens of times in the past, was almost raw in the middle. It was definitely a bit undercooked even for BBP medium rare standards. The fries were not as hot and fresh and we are used to, but still tasty. The milkshakes were outstanding as usual.

Staff was less than stellar. With the exception of one male staff who took our order, everyone else looked like they wanted to be elsewhere. We did speak with the manager, Nick, out of friendliness and curiosity why no spiked milkshakes on the menu, which he explained. Honestly, he was so disheveled looking, I wasn't sure he was the manager. He was wearing old ratty jeans that looked to be about 2 sizes two large and his BBP shirt was all untucked. He was friendly, but after we told him we were regulars at another BBP, it's like he didn't want to talk with us anymore. Hopefully they've worked out the kinks of being a new location by the time we visit again.

“Loved it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2013

I went with my family after a soccer tournament and we were all satisfied. My son who has allergies to seeds was provided with a seedless bun. The burgers were all cooked as ordered.
You can order water and they give you a cup that you fill at the soda station. The dipping sauce that comes with fries and onion ring delicious. For a family of four we spent $40, big saving from Cheesecake Factory next door. Highly recommend it.

“Grilled to Order ! ! !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2013

Just returned from a trip from Jersey. While killing time at the Freehold Mall due to rain we went to Bobby's Burger Palace.Owned by Bobby Flay or at least started by him.You enter the fast food type restaurant and read the specials board or the wide array of choices on the menu board. There is definitely something for everyone. You place your oder and pay, beseated and your order is delivered tableside. There were four of us and we all ordered something different along with fries and onion rings. The burgers were grilled to perfection (med. rare)etc. which is hard to find in a fast food restaurant these days. The fries were seasoned with sea salt and had a dipping sauce as well as the onion rings. There is also a wide array of condiments to sample with your meal. All the food was of high quality and worthy of a visit.
