Apple Valley Inn Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 2 Glenwood B&B and Inns
Reviewed 17 June 2014

My husband and I stayed at Apple Valley for a June weekend. We stayed in the Empire Room which was a lovely shade of blue and had a nice location right off the veranda on the second floor. It was clean and comfortable. The three course country breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The service from the innkeepers, Lauren and Leigh, as well as their staff was exceptional! Lauren is so warm and welcoming that by our second evening I felt like we were old friends who came to visit. Make sure you visit the Candy Apple Shoppe for some sweet treats. The truffles are amazing and so are the caramel apples...the smores apple was delicious. There are many nice wineries, restaurants and antique shopping in the area. All in all we had a great weekend and definitely plan to go back.

Room Tip: If you want a large room with spacious bathroom choose the Gala Room on the first floor..

My husband and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and we feel that Apple Valley has them all beat in every way possible. Lauren and Leigh's hospitality is unbelievable. From the moment you arrive until the time you leave, they make you feel right at home. We just returned from a wonderful weekend at Apple Valley with friends and are already planning our return visit. The Inn is so charming, the breakfasts are delicious, the entire staff is so warm and friendly, and there is always so much to do. Lauren and Leigh are always available to answer any questions you have about the area, make dinner reservations, and give you directions. We can't wait to return.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Apple Valley Inn. It was very charming, cozy and very clean. We especially loved relaxing on the wrap around porch with a bottle of wine. There are many wineries, however, Warwick Valley was our favorite. The inn keepers, Lauren and Leigh, were very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions and sites to visit. The breakfasts were 3 courses and delicious! They also have a candy shop on the property, which is amazing! Can't wait to go back to the Apple Valley!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend, and needless to say, our stay was PERFECT IN EVERY WAY.
1) The breakfasts are hearty, fresh and delicious!
2) The rooms are VERY clean! (They have a dog but you wouldn't even know it! I have allergies and my allergies didn't bother me at all!)
3) There was a FIREPLACE in our room that you turned on and off with a remote! (Empire Room) Talk about easy and cozy!
4) The balcony on the second floor is amazing! It was a little chilly, and the girls even gave me a blanket to use while I was sitting on the balcony at sunset, drinking a glass of wine.
5) They changed the towels ALL the time to ensure that we ONLY had clean towels at all times.
6) Lauren and Leigh were SO kind and generous and really made you feel at home!
7) There is a Candy Apple/Chocolate Store ON SITE!!!!

We can't wait to go back! :)

Room Tip: The Empire Room had it's own fireplace! It was very easy to use!

After thoroughly enjoying a blissful weekend, my girlfriend and I concurred that Apple Valley Inn decisively established itself as a winner! Warm and gregarious, cultured yet unpretentious, innkeepers Lauren & Leigh made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Their creative energy is witnessed throughout as evidenced by the quality and attention to the subtlest of details as well as their ability to whip up scrumptious breakfasts! Our room was clean, inviting, peaceful, cozy and super comfortable. This place is certainly a keeper!

Apple Valley Inn has it all: clean rooms at an affordable price in a great location with incredible hospitality. We stayed in the Empire room for 2 nights to celebrate our NY nuptials. It was spacious yet cozy, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, with great amenities (in-room fireplace, private bath and second-floor balcony). If you come in the fall, the views will take your breath away.

The front door has a digital lock so you can come and go as you please. There's a communal fridge in the dining room for small personal items. Plenty of parking. Large movie selection.

Breakfast was above and beyond anything we expected: coffee, juice, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, sausage, and a to-die-for poppyseed cake (it's insanely good- and I'm a baker). As if that wasn't enough, they also run the cutest ever Candy Apple Shoppe right next door (closed Mondays, do not miss out on it).

Lauren & Leigh gave us fantastic recommendations for things in the area, including the best wineries (Cava, Applewood), restaurants (Eddie's, Coquitos), shopping (downtown Warwick) and hiking (Appalachian Trail entrance <1 mile). They make you feel welcome, without being all up in your business. We basically want to be them.

Thank you both for the most amazing weekend we could have ever imagined. We will definitely be back (with friends) for years to come!

The Apple Valley inn remains one of our happy places. Complete with the best hospitality, breakfast and inn keepers any guests could wish for. Lauren and Leigh take great pride in their inn and it is amazing in every way. They make you feel at home. We look forward to many more visits in the future!

Room Tip: We love the Gala room because it's large with a really nice bathroom, but really all of the room...
