My husband and our family stayed at the Everitt House recently on a sad occasion. My mom had unexpectedly passed away and the whole family was gatheriing together in Hackettstown for the funeral. Everitt House is actually located across the street from the Scala Memorial Home where the wake was held. Beverly opened up the Everitt House to us at a time when we needed warmth and comfort. She actually did not charge us for one room because of the circumstances. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room was delicious - the rooms were beautiful and beds were comfortable. For my "connected" kids having wireless was great. She was gracious and could not have been more welcoming. I would highly recommend the Everitt House, regardless of why you are in town. It is a gem.
