A little deceptive from the outside. A simple store front but inside the room is clean and tastefully decorated. All of the dishes are made fresh to order so be patient, it's worth it. A very nice loaf of warm bread was served first. My wife and I had two appetizers, shrimp in garlic and chourico. Both were very good, a little different from the typical Down Neck Newark places. The shrimp were obviously freshly prepared and the Portuguese sausages were not over cooked as I have had in some other places. They were both delicious. Then we opted for the Picanha for two, a Brazilian cut of beef that Joe the owner brought out on a skewer and sliced at the table. The beef was tasty and tender and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Joe and his wife ( unfortunately I didn't catch her name) were absolutely charming. She is is the chef, along with Joe and a very nice young lady who served us and their small staff run this little gem. We chatted with them after our dinner,a very nice, hard working couple. They sent us home with a doggy bag which we used the following night at home. It is a BYOB. Definitely worth a trip, reservations are a good idea.

you will not leave here hungry!! owners are super nice and friendly. the garlic shrimp is very good. rodizio is definitely the best in the area!!

From the outside you'd think it was a dive but once you walk through the front door you'll realize how wrong you were. We had the rodizio and each course was better than the one before. There were 13 different servings so it's impossible to leave hungry. So glad they decided to open a restaurant in Hackettstiwn!

Well its definately not Newark style, but it was still decent. The cuts of meat were cooked a little bit under they way we had had it to be cooked. Everytime the server bought the top sirloin meat to our table the food was luke warm to cold. Never really seemed warm or hot.
Probably will return BUT they need to improve on this aspect.

Make a reservation, as they only have 11 or so tables. It is BYOB, so be prepared with your own. Our table ordered the Rodizio. The sides were plentiful and the variety of meat will not disappoint. Everything was good, some I preferred more than others, as I think it's really personal preference. This was a great little find for something different. The owner is present and all of the staff were pleasant and courteous. Will go back for certain.
