We stayed at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ for 4 nights in Nov. 2016. We had a wonderful time! We were able to check in a couple hours early after our redeye flight and being up for over 25 hours, which was an absolute blessing as we were exhausted! The room was surprisingly large and is very well appointed. There's a full kitchenette, less a cook top (which you can get by asking the front desk for one for free), There's a sitting area with a pull out couch that has a full/queen size bed (didn't use it), there's a large flat screen TV, a king size bed and a drape that you can pull between the king size bed and the pull out couch for some extra privacy. The free breakfast was some of the best I've ever had! They had all sorts of breakfast sandwiches, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, waffles, donuts, eggs, etc. You could make just about anything you wanted to and the best part is, you can take it back to your room! We were typically out late at night so we never did get to use the pool but there was no hot tub available. We also didn't get a chance to use the fitness center or the laundry. The closest bus stop is a half mile walk up a big steep hill (at least a 10% grade). The closest train station to get into NYC is in Rutherford (~$10 by uber). The nice part is the trains ran really late but after like 8pm they become infrequent and you can get stuck in Secaucus Station for a couple hours if your timing is off. The train will take you right into Penn Station if you switch at Secaucus or if you ride it out to the end, you can catch the PATH train into the World Trade Center. Overall, our stay was great and we would definitely stay here again!
