I have recently moved to the area and have been to Amelia's several times because it is the closest restaurant to my apartment. I must say, that I would travel much farther to go here. The atmosphere is nice and the food is great. When you are seated, they take out this giant stamp and stamp down the special. This was unexpected on my first visit and now I look forward to it every time. A very nice, different touch!

I do wish they had more vegetarian options.

Had a wonderful meatball sandwich for lunch. Would of received 5 stars if it had been more reasonably priced

I've lived in the area for 15 years. Amelia's is good, solid food (although they have a big turnover of wait staff, the service is mostly fine).

Amelia's and Satis are the main places I eat on a regular basis, and Amelia's is my college-aged daughter's favorite place to go when she's off of school. It does get a big noisy inside, though. When the weather is good, it's a delight to eat outside---they also use the outside heaters, which is nice.

Can't believe that Light Horse got better reviews, and can only think this is from the folks who work in the big corporate offices along the river and are slumming in Paulus Hook. You can tell by the Range Rovers and Mercedes clogging the nearby streets that its not the locals who eat there......
