I went with three other people to this restaurant and we all enjoyed the food. We sat on a high table and had a great view of the whole restaurant. Another unknown couple joined our high table and we had a great conversation. The menu is limited but there is a good selection of beer and wine.

Enjoyed a perfect Florentine Steak with Arugula salad and wonderful selections of wine by the glass. small menu and the appetizers are more mediteranean (dates with cabrales cheese and bacon, roasted shrimp and chorizo) along with salumi. the desserts are bit too complex for my test. but great appetizers, wine and cozy setting like in someone's house.

We have a part time apartment in Jersey City and this is our neighborhood go to place for a great casual dinner, cozy atmosphere & great decor. There is allot of energy in the restaurant & bustling! A long list of meals we LOVE here. Brunch on the weekend is fabulous! I always get the Eggs Benedict as they have a fabulous tuscan flair to the food but anyone we have brought to Satis has never walked away less than impressed! Great Vino! (Use to be BYO but recently aquired a license and opened a wine bar in the basement) We LOVE going both with a group of friends or as a couple. Located in the historic Paulus Hook section of JC we chanced up this spot the weekend we moved into the apartment and it had only been open a few months at the time.

We've dined at Satis several time in the last 2 years, for both dinner and Sunday brunch. The setting is intimate and unpretentious, the staff accommodating, and the food outside the ordinary.

Cheeses and cured meats are in abundance. They work well with a glass of wine. We had a combination of tastings and then entrees. All fresh and well prepared. There was something for everyone.

I would recommend Satis to anyone seeking a restaurant that's a little different and while offering feel-good foods in an inviting environment.

I really wanted this to become my go-to neighborhood restaurant, but the food and wine just don't live up. We had various tapas with a couple glasses of wine, and nothing was particularly memorable. For a restaurant and wine bar, the wine list was overpriced for a mediocre selection of wines. The servers were also somewhat strange, although attentive enough. Unfortunately, the neighborhood really is lacking in good restaurants, with the only standout one so far being 30 Acres. It's really surprising that an area as close to NYC as Brooklyn is can be so behind in the food scene. So many places across the country have an active food scene, it's surprising that Satis is one of the best Jersey City has to offer.
