I spent almost two weeks there in March 2014. Comfortable, spacious rooms as you'd expect with any Marriott. The staff were helpful, and the neighbourhood is fine. But the best thing is the location - right next door to the NJ Path station - 5 minutes to Manhattan - and at a fraction of the price of Manhattan hotels. One thing though - you're probably better off using local diners/restaurants for food, as the bistro in the hotel is way overpriced for what you get.

1st stay here. If it were any closer to The Path, you would be sleeping on the tracks. It is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. 5$ per day get you back and from there, hassle free, no car needed, no headaches, no traffic. The rooms are very clean, smell great. Beds are comfy as usual with any Marriott. The staff always helpful. Valet parking was great. Parking is on a 24 hr basis. So even if checkout at the hotel is at 12:00, you can leave your car there till the full 24 hrs is up. We decided to hop onto transit and visit NYC one last time. Breakfast is available but is not included with your stay, odd as most Marriott's offer it with the reservation. There are restaurants near by to eat, before heading to NYC. If you choose to wait and eat in NYC, patience is a prerequisite.

My family stayed 3 nights while sightseeing in NYC. The location was perfect for getting back and forth into the city and visiting other local attractions. The PATH train into NYC was adjacent to the hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The valet remembered my name even when we weren't using his services. The heated pool felt great after a long day of sightseeing. The parking was $18 a day which I thought high. But considering the location and what hotels in the city charge, this was quite reasonable.

We stayed in the hotel from 11-13th April 2014. The hotel felt new, clean and light. The Queen double room was spacious. The staff were helpful at all times - Bianca especially. The hotel has Starbucks coffee downstairs and a good variety of food on offer until 10pm with an additional market with packaged food. The location is great - close to a mall, right next to the Path train (under 20 mins into central manhattan for $2.50) and on the Newport waterfront which has stunning views of the city. I would definitely stay here again - my only minor points would be that we got a good price with a wedding booking and this made it competitive, the air conditioner sometimes became loud during the night and there weren't really any places nearby for breakfast if you wanted a sit-down brunch.

Room Tip: Queen double room much bigger than King

Went over night on a Satuday. It's location is great to scoot over to NYC. The skyline off of the waterfront 1 block away was beautiful at night. It was easy to locate and close to Hoboken for the great restaurants. There are restaurants within walking distance Bertucci's, VP3 pizzeria, and a diner 6 blocks up off of Washington. $18 for parking.
