The best thing about The Hyatt Regency Jersey City is the location. It is right on the Jersey City waterfront looking directly at the Manhattan skyline. It is really breathtaking. One of the best vantage points of the skyline there at Exchange Place. You can see the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty from the waterfront that the property is on. It is really amazing at night. There is ferry service available just footsteps from the hotel that will take you across the water to NYC. It is fast and inexpensive. The hotel is also located directly beside the PATH station. The PATH is another form of public transportation that will get you to NYC in just a few minutes for a few bucks. You could walk along the waterfront over to Liberty State Park and board a ferry to the Statue Of Liberty, (except that was fenced off I'm guessing due to construction going on. ) For these reasons I definitely would recommend this hotel, and already have to friends and family. The hotel layout is a little strange. When you come in you have to take an elevator up to the 3rd floor to the lobby to check in. But exit the hotel on the 1st floor. The hotel pool is very small...but there is so much to do in the area that it didn't affect us. The hotel and our guest room were immaculate. The beds were very comfortable and we were provided with a mini-fridge and microwave. I do not like that the hotel charges $10 a day for wifi and $32 a day for parking. Valet is the only option but you do have in/out privileges. I have no idea where they park the cars but it is not onsite so be prepared to wait 15 minutes to get your vehicle. (Helps to call ahead form your room.) The hotel does provide free wifi in the lobby but it was an inconvenience for me to have to come down there when I needed to use the internet. The price point of this hotel is high enough that wifi should be a complimentary service.

We stayed at the Hyatt Jersey City for a weekend in May for a wedding. The wedding reception took place here and the staff, food and location was excellent. We called ahead and the the staff directed us to Black Crown Limo service from the Newark Int'l Airport. They were prompt and professional. Ronnie greeted us as we were descending the escalator to retrieve our luggage. The cost was $72 to hotel and $62 return. Cab service is around $65 so well worth the bit of extra cost instead of waiting in line for a cab.The car itself was a beautiful and clean Mercedes.
The hotel had clean quiet rooms with excellent views of NYC. The Sunday brunch was delicious and staff was very attentive. We took the PATH train into NYC and visited New York Historical Society Museum. The Audubon Prints were a highlight, what a treasure! Go see them if you can!
I recommend this hotel as a perfect location for respite after the hustle and bustle of NYC. Enjoy!

Love this hotel! If you can get a Hudson view room do it! Beautiful view of NYC! The rooms a incredible, neat and clean and staff is so accommodating! We go back every year and take the path to NYC! So much better than driving into the city and alot cheaper!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Convenient to NYC, PATH train, ferry. Staff are AMAZING! Room very clean and quiet. Food and service in VU restaurant very good, VU lounge nice place to relax. Parking fee a little high, but to be expected for this area.

This hotel is awesome, but there is no transport provided from the airport. I saw other hotels offering transport, but not the Hyatt. The taxi fares were extremely high for just 12 miles of travel. Brace yourself! If you manage to get to the hotel, it has a great view of Manhattan and a ferry crossing only costs $2.50.
