Best place to eat whether you are vegetarian or not. BYOB, habit-forming cottage cheese cookies, strawberry-basil lemonade and, of course, lamb samosas. Won't leave you unsatisfied.

Clean, friendly, tiny place -- great for hot soup, samosa's, fresh breads, wonderful baked goods ! Sample the taste of Uzbekistan (without having to get on a plane & go there !). . . And they deliver ! Prices very reasonable, obviously due to their location (if they were on Washington St in Hoboken, the prices would have to be tripled). Do patronize this eatery so they'll stay in business; you'll definitely enjoy!

Honey Bakery offers a menu that fuses multicultural flavors in unexpected and delicious ways. Everything is always fresh and tastes like it has just been cooked. The service here is generous, with deliveries that are prompt and friendly, and owners that are clearly passionate about what they do and the food that they make. The lamb dumplings and borsch happen to be favorites of mine, although at this point I have tried most of their menu and have never found anything to be less than amazing and yummy. This cafe is the one thing about Jersey City that I love.

Of course, as an ex-comrade, this place appeal to me on a deeper level. That said, even if these people were unpleasant, rude lepers, the food would still bring me in at least once a week. I just had lamb sandwich on tandoor bread (nice crunchy outside, soft inside yeast based bread) followed by warm (lucky me!) cottage cheese cookies with milk. What a breakfast!

After working at a bakery myself for 2 years, the critiques do get sent in their direction, but not because of the poor recipes only because it is a small operation. Those tend to have poor planning (unworthy product gets discarded though, saw myself!).

Food-wise it is splendid even by NYC standards. Few items to try: samosas (lamb surely), aubergine spread ( call it "dristnya" emphasis on the second syllable and score a smile from the owners/cooks), cottage cheese cookies ('nuff said).

All-in-all, come once and you will come back.
