“WOW!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2013

Been here in the New York City area for almost 3 months with the Red Cross and this is hands down the best restaurant that I have visited. I had the Pealha Valenciana (lobster, shrimp, clams, scallops, mussels, chicken & chourico) $20.95. The restaurant was medium priced for the area and the food was excellent!! We shared a pitcher of Sangria which was home-made and not pre-mixed from a bottle - only complaint was that they used an American red wine instead of a Portuguese red table wine in the Sangria. The servings were absolutely huge! The Pealha (Spanish Paella) came in a pot that I could only eat half of and I am a good eater. Please see the attached photos.

“great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2012

On a side street, quiet, not too big, great for sharing dinner with friends. Food is amazing, starting with the Portuguese bread, family style salad and great variety of choices for your main course. It's casual but a nice date place, if you wanted to dress up a little. Prices are also affordable. All four of us ordered something different and we all raved about the taste and presentation of our dishes. Will go back often.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2012 via mobile

You feel like you've found a local treasure. Sangria was made perfectly and all the Portuguese favorite appetizers where very good. Entrees where large and delicious, the highlight was the filet mignon on the stone. One of the best steaks I've ever tasted. Staff was friendly and attentive even as it got busy. I have not one bad thing to say, go and enjoy some seriously good food.

“Great food, great atmosphere, great prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2012

Fantastic - A quaint restaurant within walking distance of the Hudson (PATH station, Hyatt, etc). The size is just perfect - not to small that you can't just walk in but not too large as you feel like your in a cafeteria. There are places to sit and eat at the bar.

We went in the evening and their was plenty of room for our large party. The staff was friendly and attentive.

We ordered Sangria - red and white - highly recommended (especially if you walked!)
The serving sizes were generous and the prices extremely reasonable. I ordered the Paella which included a generous amount of seafood.

Enjoy!
