“Manhattan at your feet !!”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

We happened to visit this place essentially to get a view of Manhattan from the Jersey side. What we got was " A restaurant with a view ". It's location is incredible. Valet parking is available, so you don't waste precious time. The staff is very friendly.
The menu card is a long 15 inches card imprinted in black . Since the restaurant is very dimly lit { and very, very romantic } we were wondering, how we would read it. Suddenly it dawned upon us that we have to hold it against the beautiful small candle stand on our table.
Can't blame us. A whole day of sight-seeing in New York can make one go a little haywire !! The starters were good. We had the Chicken caesar salad and fish for our main entree. The menu is not very exhaustive and has fairly limited choices. However, one is spellbound by the vista around . From one corner of our eye we could see the Statue of Liberty and as we scanned from right to left, we could see the silhouette of the Battery Park. Then the dazzling lights of Manhattan simply overwhelming everything else. The end point of the vista was the Central Park area. Simply awesome !!
One of the rare moments of life when you forget about what the restaurant offers you for food and are simply satisfied with what you ate absorbing the beauty around you. If you have been ever involved with New York city over your life time, you will go into a rewind mode and relive your life during the course of your meal at VU.

“Best view & fresh delicious food”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

The view is the best you'll get of the New York skyline, absolutely beautiful!! I had looked online at the menu before we arrived and knew already that I had to have the Chesapeake Bay Crabcakes. They were so good, I highly recommend them. Had the Seafood Cobb salad which was so fresh and delicious. Combined with the view, the food and a very nice waiter it was a very romantic dinner with my husband!! Loved it!!

“Breakfast buffet pricey”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

At $23 a pop we were expecting HOT food but found barely lukewarm food. It was okay, but definitely didn't eat there again.

“Very little soup”
Reviewed 15 August 2013 via mobile

We got to the VU late thinking they were closed, they sat us at the very front overlooking the World Trade Center. The view was amazing and we were very pleased with it. We just wanted to eat light so we ordered the tomato basil soup and wine. The soup came in a large bowl but in only contained like 6 oz of soup @ $9 for soup I felt like they did not have enough in the kitchen or the chef thought my mother and I should lose wight. Even though we wanted more it was delicious. The view is awesome just don't go there extremely hungry and be prepared to pay up. 2 glasses of wine and 2 soups over$40

“Great View from the Vue”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

The view of lower Manhattan from the Vue is unparalleled. The dinner menu had some unusual choices, so of course we ordered them. Delicious! The breakfast menu had some low carb, low cal items that we liked very much. And the prices are decent. We love the Hyatt Jersey City, so will be staying there and eating at the Vue again :-)
